Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Placed on IR
The Titans placed Sweat (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Sweat had already missed the team's Week 2 loss versus the Rams with an ankle injury and will now be sidelined for at least another four games. With Sweat out for the time being, Shy Tuttle is currently the only nose tackle on Tennessee's active roster.

Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Out again for Week 3
Sweat (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
Sweat will miss his second straight game. His absence will be a boost to Jonathan Taylor's Week 3 matchup. Shy Tuttle should be in line for a larger defensive role for the second week in a row.

Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Out for Week 2
Sweat (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Sweat played 38 percent of the defensive snaps in the Titans' Week 1 loss to the Broncos, recording a pair of tackles. His absence in the middle of the defensive line is a boost to Kyren Williams' matchup this Sunday. Look for Shy Tuttle to take on a bigger workload up front for Tennessee.

Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Off injury report
Sweat (tonsils) was not listed on the Titans' injury report Wednesday.
Sweat underwent surgery in mid-August to remove his tonsils, which caused him to miss the Titans' final two games of the preseason. He appears to have fully recovered from the procedure and is on track to play in Sunday's regular-season opener against Denver. The 2024 second-rounder finished his rookie season with 51 tackles (22 solo), including 1.0 sacks, one pass defense, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery across 17 regular-season games.

Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Expected to miss one week
Sweat is expected to miss roughly a week of practice after having his tonsils removed Saturday, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports.
Sweat missed practice Friday, and he won't be available for Saturday's preseason matchup against the Buccaneers, but he'll be back on the field before long. The second-year pro could be back in action in time to log preseason action against the Falcons on Friday, Aug. 15.

Sweat is considered day-to-day with an abdominal injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Sweat isn't practicing Friday. The mountainous nose tackle was a second-round pick last year and appeared in all 17 regular-season games as a rookie, making 16 starts. He finished with 51 tackles (22 solo), including 1.0 sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Sweat also received some down-the-board votes for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Titans' T'Vondre Sweat: Impactful rookie season
Sweat played in all 17 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 51 tackles (22 solo), including 1.0 sacks, one pass defense, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Sweat's stock before the 2024 NFL Draft dropped after being arrested on a DWI charge in early April. He was scooped up by the Titans in the second round, 38th overall, and was immediately paired up with All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. Sweat played over 50 percent of the Titans' defensive snaps in all but one regular-season game, and though he only had 1.0 sacks he consistently disrupted the opposing offensive line on pass rushes. Sweat will solidify Tennessee's defensive line for years to come, and help could be on the way if the Titans elect to use the No. 1 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft to select Abdul Carter.
