Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Breaks up two passes in win
Brownlee recorded four solo tackles and two pass breakups in Sunday's 39-38 win over the Bengals.
The cornerback has played on 68 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the last three games for the Jets. Brownlee was traded from the Titans in September, and he has slowly but surely worked his way up to a starting role at nickel corner. With Michael Carter recently having been traded to Philadelphia, Brownlee's spot should be secure.

Jets' Jarvis Brownlee: Estimated Full Go Wednesday

Brownlee (ankle) has been ruled out for the Jets' matchup versus Miami on Monday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Brownlee was traded to the Jets from Tennessee on Tuesday but will now have to wait at least another week to make his debut with the team. The 2024 fifth-round pick racked up 17 tackles (11 solo) and one pass deflection across the first two games of the season while serving as one of the Titans' starting cornerbacks. Once healthy, he will likely serve as a rotational defender on his new team.

Brownlee (ankle) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Brownlee will have to wait at least one more day before participating in practice with his new team. The 2024 fifth-rounder was traded by the Titans to the Jets on Tuesday, and he is expected to serve in a rotational role in the Jets' secondary. Brownlee will have two more opportunities to practice ahead of Monday's AFC East tilt against the Dolphins.

The Titans traded Brownlee (ankle) to the Jets on Tuesday, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
The move will also include late-round pick swaps for the 2026 NFL Draft. Brownlee was the Titans' starting corner in each of the first two games of the season and logged 17 tackles (11 solo) and one pass defense. He suffered an ankle injury during the Titans' Week 2 loss to the Rams, and given his injury and the time it takes to acclimate to a new defense, he's facing an uphill battle to play in Monday's AFC East clash against the Dolphins. When healthy, the 2024 fifth-rounder will serve in a rotational role at outside corner behind Brandon Stephens and Sauce Gardner (head).

Brownlee (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Brownlee was listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice before not participating in Friday's session due to an ankle injury. The injury is severe enough that he won't suit up Sunday, and his next chance to play is Week 4 against the Texans on Sunday, Sept. 28. Darrell Baker and Jalyn Armour-Davis are the top candidates to see an expanded role at outside corner opposite L'Jarius Sneed due to Brownlee's injury.

Brownlee claimed essentially an every-down role in the slot from Week 6 on, after the Titans' bye.
