Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Plays in preseason win
Flott (undisclosed) recorded a pass deflection during the Giants' preseason win over the Jets on Saturday.
Flott had missed some time in practice with an undisclosed injury but is now healthy again. He is competing with Deonte Banks to serve as one of the team's starting outside cornerbacks opposite Paulson Adebo.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Doesn't practice Saturday
Flott did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice due to an undisclosed injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
The type and severity of Flott's injury isn't clear, but it has kept him out of practice for the past two days. Reps with the first-team defense are important for Flott, who is competing against Deonte Banks and Paulson Adebo for the starting outside corner job. Flott will look to get back on the practice field and be available for the Giants' preseason opener against the Bills on Saturday, Aug. 9.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Competing for starting role
Flott and Deonte Banks are in a training camp battle for a starting cornerback spot, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Flott (10 starts) and Banks (14 starts) both worked primarily as starters last year, but one will lose that role after the Giants brought in Paulson Adebo during the offseason to be their top corner. Flott (53 stops, seven defensed passes) and Banks (52 tackles, 12 pass defenses) put up similar numbers in 2024, though they had just one interception between them as New York's secondary as a whole struggled to collect turnovers. Per Duggan, Flott and Banks have been alternating turns in the rotation during camp, so it appears this will be a genuine position battle throughout the preseason.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Has career-best season in 2024
Flott posted 53 tackles (36 solo) and seven pass defenses, including one interception, in 14 games (10 starts) during the 2024 campaign.
Flott registered the highest numbers of his career in multiple categories, including tackles and defensed passes. Uncoincidentally, he also played the most defensive snaps (637) of his three-year professional career. Flott did give way as a starter to Adoree' Jackson for two games late in the season, but Flott was still on the field for about half of New York's defensive snaps during those contests. Jackson will be a free agent at the start of the new league year and is unlikely to return to New York, giving Flott -- who will be in the final year of his rookie contract -- a good chance of handling a starting role again next year unless the Giants decide to upgrade at the cornerback position.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Nabs interception in return
Flott registered three tackles (all solo) and an interception in Sunday's 34-7 Week 16 loss to the Falcons.
Flott returned from a two-game absence that was caused by a quadriceps injury. He recorded his first interception of the campaign just before halftime, picking off a Michael Penix pass in the end zone after the ball was tipped by Kyle Pitts. Flott played 61 percent of New York's defensive snaps in the contest as the team elected to deploy a rotation at cornerback that included Deonte Banks and Adoree' Jackson in addition to Flott, while Dru Phillips missed just two snaps from the slot.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Cleared to play Sunday
Flott (quadriceps) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Falcons and is expected to play, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Flott will return from a two-game absence and give the Giants' secondary a boost ahead of a matchup with rookie QB Michael Penix and WRs Drake London and Darnell Mooney. Through 11 appearances this season, Flott has 45 tackles (30 solo) and six pass breakups.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Limited Wednesday
Flott (quadriceps) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.
The third-year corner from LSU was sidelined for the Giants' Week 15 loss to the Ravens due to a quadriceps injury, so Wednesday's limited session could be a step toward him returning to the field. Flott's practice participation Thursday and Friday will likely serve as the best indication of whether he can play through the issue in Week 16, when the Giants face the Falcons.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Not playing Week 15
Flott (quadriceps) is inactive for Sunday's battle against Baltimore, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Flott was active despite the quad injury last Sunday against the Saints, but he didn't end up seeing the field. The third-year cornerback continues to be bothered by the issue and won't suit up versus the Ravens. Deonte Banks (ribs) is also inactive Sunday, so Adoree' Jackson and Art Green will likely handle cornerback duties against Baltimore.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Unlikely to face Baltimore
Flott (quadriceps) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Flott missed last week's loss to the Saints and appears likely to be absent for Week 15. Top CB Deonte Banks (ribs) is questionable after a two-game absence. If neither can play, the Giants will likely again roll with Adoree' Jackson, Tre Hawkins and Greg Stroman at cornerback.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Still nursing quadriceps injury
Flott (quadriceps) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Flott was able to play through quadriceps and knee injuries in Sunday's loss to the Saints, recording five total tackles and two passes defended over 67 defensive snaps. His limited practice session Wednesday is likely precautionary, however, he could be in jeopardy of missing the Giants' Week 15 game against the Ravens if he can't play through his injuries again.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Will suit up against Saints
Flott (quadriceps/knee) is active for Sunday's Week 14 tilt against New Orleans, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Flott was a late addition to New York's injury report when he was deemed questionable Saturday, but he'll be able to take the field against the Saints. The third-year cornerback will fill his usual starting role, and he'll be paired with Adoree' Jackson since Deonte Banks (ribs) is missing another game. Flott has logged at least 90 percent of New York's defensive snaps in each of his past two contests.

Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Questionable for Week 14
Flott (quadriceps/knee) is questionable to play Sunday against the Saints, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.
Flott wasn't listed on the injury report for any of the Giants' three practices this past week, but he is now dealing with knee and quadriceps injury that put his status for Sunday's game into question. His official status for Sunday's game may not be known until the Giants announce their inactives list approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. With Deonte Banks (rib) already out and Flott potentially sidelined as well, the Giants would turn to Art Green and Adoree' Jackson to serve as the starting outside cornerbacks.
