Cowboys' Jalen Cropper: Signed to Dallas' active roster
The Cowboys signed Cropper from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
The move corresponds with the Cowboys placing running back Miles Sanders (knee) on injured reserve. Cropper had been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster twice this season and played a season-high six snaps on offense during the Cowboys' Week 5 win over the Jets. The third-year wideout will likely see most of his playing time Sunday on special teams but could get some work on offense due to the absences of fellow wideouts CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot).

Jalen Cropper: Reverts to practice squad
Cropper reverted to the Cowboys' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Cropper was elevated to the Cowboys' active roster for a second straight game due to the absences of CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot). Cropper saw six snaps on offense, which came after Jalen Brooks suffered a knee injury on punt coverage in the fourth quarter. Cropper did not see a target from Dak Prescott, but the former also played 10 snaps on special teams, returning one punt for eight yards while calling a fair catch three times. Cropper is eligible to be elevated from the practice squad once more; after that, the Cowboys would have to sign the 24-year-old wideout to the active roster in order for him to suit up for the rest of the regular season. Cropper could be on Dallas' active roster for Week 6 against Carolina if Lamb and/or Turpin are unable to play.

Cowboys' Jalen Cropper: Back with active roster
Cropper was elevated from the Cowboys' practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Cropper has been elevated to the Cowboys' active roster for the second consecutive game after playing five total snaps (four on special teams, one on offense) in the Week 4 tie with the Packers. He's likely to play a similar role in Sunday's matchup against the Jets, contributing on both offense and special teams.

Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Moved back to practice squad
Moreno-Cropper reverted to the Cowboys' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Moreno-Cropper was elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's matchup versus Green Bay and logged one offensive snap, along with four snaps on special teams, without recording any output in that contest. CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and Jonathan Mingo (knee) were both inactive for that game, and Moreno-Cropper could get another look in Week 5 versus the Jets if both injured wideouts remain sidelined.

Cowboys' Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Joins active roster
Cropper was elevated from the Cowboys' practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
With CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and Jonathan Mingo (knee) both sidelined for the Week 4 matchup against the Packers, Cropper's elevation provides the Cowboys with depth at wide receiver. The Fresno State product posted 83 catches for 1,086 yards and five touchdowns during his final collegiate season in 2022. Cropper could also contribute on special teams by potentially returning punts and kicks, per Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News.

Moreno-Cropper was signed to the Cowboys' practice squad Wednesday.
Moreno-Cropper went unclaimed on waivers, ultimately returning to the Cowboys' practice unit. The wideout was elevated to the active roster with Dallas once in 2024, and he will look to beat that number in 2025.

Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Jettisoned by Cowboys
Dallas waived Moreno-Cropper on Tuesday.
Moreno-Cropper suited up for one regular-season game with the Cowboys as a rookie last season, but he spent most of the year on the team's practice squad. He could reunite with Dallas in a similar capacity for the 2025 campaign.

Cowboys' Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Inks reserve/future deal with DAL
The Cowboys signed Moreno-Cropper to a reserve/future contract Monday.
Moreno-Cropper originally signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent in April of 2023. He's spent most of his time since on the team's practice squad, though he's gotten one elevation -- in Week 10 this season, he made his NFL debut and played 12 offensive snaps along with three special-teams snaps against Philadelphia without recording any other stats. Moreno-Cropper is now set to be part of the Dallas organization through the offseason and will try to earn a roster spot during training camp next summer.

Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Reverts to practice squad
Moreno-Cropper reverted to the Cowboys' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Moreno-Cropper played 12 of 60 offensive snaps Sunday, which was four more than KaVontae Turpin, though the former did not register a stat. The Cowboys can elevate Moreno-Cropper to the active roster two more times this season, though the chances of that happening would significantly decrease if Brandin Cooks (knee) were to be activated from injured reserve.

Cowboys' Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Gets Week 10 elevation
The Cowboys elevated Cropper from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Cropper was a standout for Dallas during training camp this year, and he'll now get his first practice-squad elevation. If he suits up Sunday against Philadelphia, the Fresno State product will be making his NFL debut. Cropper isn't likely to see much work on offense, however, with CeeDee Lamb, Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, Jonathan Mingo, KaVontae Turpin and Ryan Flournoy all likely ahead of him on the Cowboys' wideout depth chart.

Jalen Cropper: Let go by Dallas
The Cowboys waived Cropper on Tuesday.
Cropper spent all of 2023 on the Cowboys' practice squad. Sad Yousuf of The Athletic relayed Wednesday that Cropper had been one of the most consistent wide receivers during training camp. While Cropper accumulated five catches on 10 targets for 32 yards across three preseason games, it wasn't enough for him to stick around on the 53-man roster. Cropper could be invited back to Dallas to join the practice squad again, or he could explore his options elsewhere assuming he clears waivers.

Cowboys' Jalen Cropper: Consistent showing in camp
Cropper has been the most consistent of the Cowboys' depth wide receivers in training camp, Saad Yousuf of The Athletic reports.
With CeeDee Lamb (contract dispute) holding out, there have been additional reps available behind Brandin Cooks (personal), Jalen Tolbert and Jalen Brooks, and Cropper has gotten a chance to make a positive impression on the coaching staff. The 23-year-old Fresno State product may have moved ahead of Tyron Billy-Johnson, Ryan Flournoy, Kelvin Harmon and the other wideouts fighting for one of the last spots on the 53-man roster, but there's no guarantee any of them make the cut -- in addition to the team's top four WRs, KaVontae Turpin is likely locked into a roster spot as well due to his value as a return man.

The Cowboys signed Moreno-Cropper to the practice squad Wednesday, Patrik Walker of the team's official site reports.

Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Waived by Dallas
The Cowboys waived Moreno-Cropper on Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Jalen Moreno-Cropper: Fresno wideout joins Dallas
The Cowboys have agreed to a contract with Moreno-Cropper, the Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken reports.
Moreno-Cropper surprisingly went undrafted after a uniquely distinguished career at Fresno State, where he chose to play over much bigger programs like Oregon and Utah. Moreno-Cropper (5-foot-11, 172 pounds) is skinny but ran a verified 4.40 speed at the combine, and his production at Fresno State -- where he was the clear WR1 for quarterback Jake Haener, taken in the fourth round -- is not easily dismissed. Moreno-Cropper is a long shot like any undrafted rookie, but there's reason to believe he's more talented than current Dallas wideouts like Jalen Tolbert, Simi Fehoko and KaVontae Turpin.
