  • Packers' Jacob Monk: Questionable for Week 6

Monk (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.

Monk remains on injured reserve but had his 21-day practice window opened earlier in the week. He logged a trio of limited practices. Green Bay would need to activate Monk by Saturday afternoon in order for him to play Sunday.

  • Packers' Jacob Monk: Designated to return

Monk (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

The second-year pro from Duke missed Green Bay's first four games this season due to a hamstring injury, but it now appears he's nearing a return to the field. Monk now has 21 days to be added to the Packers' active roster before reverting to IR, and he'll likely play a reserve role on the offensive line this season.

  • Packers' Jacob Monk: Starting 2025 season on IR

The Packers placed Monk (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday with an injury designation, Wes Hodklewicz of the team's official site reports.

Monk is working through a hamstring injury that he picked up in mid-August, which is severe enough for him to start the regular season on IR. That means he'll be forced to miss at least the first four games of the season, making Week 6 against the Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 12 the earliest he can make his 2025 debut. Monk appeared in 10 games in 2024 but did not start in any of those contests.

  • Packers' Jacob Monk: Working through a hamstring injury

Monk did not participate in Monday's training camp practice due to a hamstring injury, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Monk started at right guard and played 31 offensive snaps during the Packers' 23-19 preseason win over the Colts on Saturday, but he may have tweaked his hamstring in the process. His practice participation over the coming week will play a factor in his ability to play in this Saturday's preseason finale against the Seahawks. Monk is competing for a depth role in the Packers' offensive line after playing in 10 regular-season games as a backup in 2024.

  • Packers' Jacob Monk: Packs bags for Green Bay

The Packers selected Monk in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 163rd overall.

The Packers had only one center on the roster coming into the draft, making that a position of need Day 3. Monk has guard, tackle and center experience from his time at Duke and 58 career starts under his belt. He adds competition behind Josh Myers in the middle of the Green Bay offensive line.
