Browns' Willie Harvey: Facing crowded depth chart
Harvey (shoulder) could be competing for a roster spot in training camp following the offseason additions of linebackers Solomon Ajayi, Jacob Phillips and B.J. Goodson, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.
Harvey will also face competition from Mack Wilson, Sione Takitaki, Montrel Meander, Jermaine Grace and Tae Davis. As an undrafted rookie in 2019, Harvey appeared in two contests (only handling snaps on special teams) before being placed on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury. In order to earn a roster spot, he may need to showcase enough versatility to be relied upon as an emergency option on defense.

Browns' Willie Harvey: Sent to IR
Harvey (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
After suffering this shoulder injury in last week's game versus the Ravens, Harvey's season is likely over. Although he's eligible to return to the lineup Week 13 versus the Steelers, it's unlikely the Browns activate him, considering he was mainly used on special teams through his two games.

Browns' Willie Harvey: Done for day
Harvey (shoulder) won't return to Sunday's game against the Ravens, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Harvey left the game late in the first quarter and, as evidenced by this news, it will knock him out of the rest of the game. With Harvey officially out, Sione Takitaki and Malik Jefferson likely will continue to see an increase in depth snaps. Though not a guarantee, it's likely the team will have an update on Harvey's status following the game or in the coming days.
