Jaylen Johnson: Waived with injury settlement
The Chargers waived Johnson (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Tuesday.
It's unclear whether this injury is related to the undisclosed issue Johnson was dealing with at the beginning of training camp. Regardless, the injury settlement allows the 25-year-old wideout to sign with a team once he is fully healthy. Johnson played in all four of the Chargers' preseason games and logged four catches (on six targets) for 37 yards.

Johnson (undisclosed) was activated from the active/PUP list Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Johnson will return to practice after opening training camp on the sidelines with an undisclosed injury. The wide receiver will look to make a good impression with Los Angeles in the coming weeks in an attempt to secure a spot on the team's 53-man roster in 2025.

Chargers' Jaylen Johnson: Starting camp on PUP list
The Chargers have placed Johnson (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Johnson, one of five Chargers who landed on the list ahead of training camp practices, can be activated at any time once he's ready to take the field. Once that happens, the 25-year-old East Carolina product will compete for a depth slot in the team's wideout corps.

Chargers' Jaylen Johnson: Inks futures deal with Bolts
Johnson signed a reserve/future contract with the Chargers on Monday.
Johnson signed with the Chargers in late April as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia. He was signed to the Bolts' practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp, and he made his NFL regular-season debut in Week 8 against the Saints, during which he played four snaps (one offense, three special teams) but did not show up in the box score otherwise. The 24-year-old wide receiver will have an opportunity to develop his skill set under the Chargers' coaching staff during the offseason and will look to earn a spot on the 53-man roster for the 2025 campaign.

Jaylen Johnson: Reverts to practice squad
Johnson reverted to the Chargers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Johnson failed to record any stats while playing one snap on offense and three snaps with the special-teams unit in the team's 26-8 win over the Saints in Week 8. The wide receiver can be elevated two more times before Los Angeles would have to officially sign him to the 53-man roster.
