Jordan Petaia: Gets cut by Bolts

Chargers' Jordan Petaia: Moved to Bolts' IR
Petaia (undisclosed) reverted to the Chargers' injured reserve list Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Petaia will move to the IR after we wasn't claimed off waivers by another team, and he will be forced to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Chargers. The former Australian rugby player signed with the Chargers in early April as part of the International Player Pathway program.

Jordan Petaia: Waived with injury designation
Petaia (undisclosed) was waived with an injury designation Thursday.
Petaia had been in the Chargers organization since signing with the team in April as part of the International Player Pathway training program. The former rugby player from Australia may opt to pursue that sport again once healthy. Even if he sticks with football, Petaia won't be eligible to play in 2025.
