Cowboys' Juanyeh Thomas: Cleared to play Week 6
Thomas (ankle) was a full participant in Friday's practice and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Panthers, Clarence Hill Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
Thomas opened the week with back-to-back limited practices while managing an ankle injury, but he's been given the green light to play against Carolina after logging a full practice Friday. He made the second start of his three-year NFL career in the Cowboys' Week 5 win over the Jets, when he played every defensive snap and recorded 10 tackles (five solo). Thomas figures to start at safety alongside Donovan Wilson for as long as Malik Hooker (toe) is on injured reserve.

Thomas was one of 18 Cowboys players listed on Wednesday's injury report. He likely sustained the ankle injury during the Cowboys' Week 5 win over the Jets, when he logged 10 tackles (five solo) while playing every defensive snap. Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus confirmed Thursday that Thomas will start in place of injured Malik Hooker (toe) on Sunday against the Jets, Joe Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Hooker hasn't yet officially been ruled out, but this essentially confirms he won't play after being injured last Sunday night against the Packers. Thomas played a season-high 51 defensive snaps in relief of Hooker in Week 4 and recorded three tackles (one solo) in the 40-40 tie.
