Rams' Tutu Atwell: Dealing with hamstring issue
Atwell was limited at Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Atwell is making a midweek addition to the Rams' practice report, which typically implies an injury that occurred during drills but also could be an issue that went unreported until now. In any case, his status will be one to monitor as the week continues to get a sense of his odds to play Sunday in Baltimore, especially after he combined for 3-160-1 on six targets over the last two games.

Rams' Tutu Atwell: Big gains on both catches
Atwell brought in two of four targets for 72 yards in the Rams' 26-23 overtime loss to the 49ers on Thursday night.
Atwell finished third in receiving yards despite recording just a pair of receptions, including a 38-yard grab in Los Angeles' overtime drive. He's suddenly come to life in the passing game over the past five days after going into Week 4 with just one catch for four yards, as he's posted a 3-160-1 line on six targets in the last pair of contests. Despite the recent surge, Atwell remains a hit-or-miss deep threat in an offense that runs almost exclusively through Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams.

Rams' Tutu Atwell: Breaks through with 88-yard TD
Atwell secured one of two targets for 88 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 27-20 victory against the Colts.
Despite seeing his least amount of usage on the season, Atwell made his single catch count, finding a seam and going untouched for an 88-yard go-ahead touchdown that turned out to be the game-winner. The score stands as a prime example of the speed and field-stretching threat that Atwell contains, but whether this score will lead to more playing time remains to be seen. Jordan Whittington, Atwell's primary competition for snaps on offense, was on the field as much as starters Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, but he had only one small catch on the day. Atwell's next chance to produce is a divisional matchup against the 49ers in Week 5.

Rams' Tutu Atwell: One target in defeat
Atwell failed to secure his lone target during Sunday's 33-26 loss to the Eagles.
Jordan Whittington has clearly pushed ahead of Atwell on the depth chart at this point, and for the second straight week, Atwell's single target fell unsecured. The veteran second-round pick was on the field for just 25 of the Rams' 66 snaps on offense, falling in line with his typical usage this season, and a breakout seems less and less likely as Puka Nacua and Davante Adams continue to command the lion's share of Matthew Stafford's attention. The Rams take on the surprisingly hot Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.

Rams' Tutu Atwell: Blanked in Week 2
Atwell was unable to secure his lone target in Sunday's 33-19 win over the Titans.
Atwell was targeted just once for the second straight week, as the veteran remains mostly an afterthought in the Rams passing attack. The 25-year-old wideout played just 26 of the Rams' 61 offensive snaps, behind fellow wide receivers Davante Adams (49), Puka Nacua (42) and Jordan Whittington (39). It appears Whittington has surpassed Atwell on the depth chart, so the latter will likely face an uphill battle for meaningful usage. Barring injuries, Atwell should be ignored for fantasy purposes going forward. Next up for the Rams is a matchup against the Eagles.

Rams' Tutu Atwell: Makes just one catch
Atwell secured his only target for four yards during Sunday's 14-9 victory against the Texans.
The speedster didn't get many opportunities to showcase why the Rams brought him back on a one-year, $10 million contract this season, only taking the field for 25 of the Rams' 60 snaps on offense. More worrying for Atwell's future usage is Jordan Whittington taking 30 snaps on offense and having a role on special teams. In 2024, when Atwell's usage was significantly reduced after Week 7, he recorded just a 14-193-0 line between Weeks 8 and 17. If Atwell drops to fourth on the depth chart, lines like this week would likely become the norm, which will be something to monitor as the Rams travel to face the Titans in Week 2.

Rams' Tutu Atwell: Competing with Whittington to start
Atwell and Jordan Whittington are competing for the No. 3 WR job, Cameron DaSilva of The Rams Wire reports.
It's a role that could entail large snap counts in coach Sean McVay's three-wide-heavy offense, although target volume would be tougher to come by unless Puka Nacua or Davante Adams were to miss time. Atwell's one-year, $10 million contract might be taken as a sign that he's the favorite for the No. 3 role, but Whittington reportedly is making a real push and impressing at training camp for the second straight summer. They're drastically different players, with Atwell being one of the smallest players in the league -- listed at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds -- while Whittington (6-1, 202) is noted for his physicality. Atwell had some brief stretches of production early in the 2023 and 2024 campaigns when other Rams WRs were injured, but he never topped 562 receiving yards or three TDs in a single regular season over the course of his rookie contract.
