Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Logs full practice Wednesday
Remigio (concussion) was a full participant at practice Wednesday.
Remigio missed Sunday's game versus the Texans with what was listed as a shoulder injury, and it's not clear if the concussion listing is related. Either way, it now appears he's trending toward suiting up in Week 15 versus the Chargers.

Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Won't play due to shoulder injury
Remigio (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Remigio was listed as a limited practice participant Friday due to a shoulder issue, which is severe enough for him to miss his first game of the season. He's mostly served on special teams as a returner on punts and kickoffs, so in Remigio's absence, those duties will fall to Tyquan Thornton, Brashard Smith and Jalen Royals. Remigio will aim to progress enough in his recovery to return in Week 15 against the Chargers on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Snares lone target against Philly
Remigio reeled in his only target for 21 yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss against the Eagles.
Remigio saw the field for all of two offensive snaps, so his one target isn't really something to get excited about. The rookie figures to drop further down the pecking order when Xavier Worthy (shoulder) and Jalen Royals (knee) are cleared, and when Rashee Rice is clear of his six-game suspension. Remigio ranked fifth among wideouts in snaps Sunday despite the trio of absences.

Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Records two catches in 2024
Remigio played in five regular-season games in 2024 and posted two catches (on six targets) for 48 yards while adding 295 kick-return yards and 104 punt-return yards. He added 301 kick-return yards and 57 punt-return yards across the Chiefs' three playoff games.
Remigio spent the entire 2023 season on injured reserve due to a wrist injury that he suffered during training camp. He was unable to make the Chiefs' 53-man roster at the end of training camp in late August, but he opted to stick around and signed with the practice squad. Remigio was signed to the active roster in early December and made his NFL regular-season debut Week 14 against the Chargers. He mostly was used as a return specialist in the eight games he appeared in across the regular season and playoffs, but he did play 30 offensive snaps Week 18 against the Broncos. Remigio will look to improve during the offseason in order to earn a more consistent role in the Chiefs offense for the 2025 season.

Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Signed to Chiefs' active roster
Kansas City signed Remigio from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Remigio has spent the entire regular season on the Chiefs' practice squad after he failed to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Although he was never elevated from the practice squad, he now has a chance to make his NFL regular-season debut against the Chargers on Sunday. Remigio will likely be limited to special teams work if he plays, though he could see some offensive snaps should any member of Kansas City's wide receiver corps be sidelined due to injury.

Nikko Remigio: Sticks around on practice squad
The Chiefs signed Remigio to their practice squad Wednesday, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
Remigio didn't manage to make the Chiefs' 53-man roster despite a strong endorsement from special teams coordinator Dave Toub. Remigio finished with 133 yards on four kick returns, 42 yards on two punt returns and seven catches (on 11 targets) for 52 yards through three preseason games. He will begin the season on the taxi squad and wait for an opportunity to make his NFL debut in 2024.

Nikko Remigio: Doesn't make roster cut
Kansas City waived Remigio on Tuesday.
Despite lobbying by special teams coordinator Dave Toub, Remigio became a casualty of the roster cut deadline Tuesday. He's set to become a free agent if he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period.

Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Gets endorsement from Toub
Special teams coordinator Dave Toub told reporters Tuesday that he will "pound the table" for Remigio to make the Kansas City's 53-man roster as a return specialist, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
Remigio has been competing against Skyy Moore, Mecole Hardman and others for a return specialist role on kickoffs and punts during training camp. Across the Chiefs' two preseason games, Remigio has returned his two kickoffs for 31 yards each and added a 42-yard punt return in Saturday's contest against the Lions. He's also seen work on offense, accumulating five catches on eight targets for 51 targets across his two preseason outings. Remigio spent all of 2023 on the Chiefs' reserve/injured list with a wrist injury, and he has the endorsement of Toub to make the final 53-man roster at the end of training camp.

Chiefs' Nikko Remigio: Could make 53-man roster
Remigio has been returning punts and kicks while also working with Kansas City's first-team offense during training camp, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
The second-year wide receiver out of Fresno State has emerged throughout the summer, receiving increased reps with the first-team offense and impressing the coaching staff. Remigio has also been working as a return man, which enhances his chances of making Kansas City's 53-man roster. As the preseason continues, expect Remigio to compete for a depth role on the Chiefs' offense as well as the position of the team's top return man.
