  • Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Good to go for Week 1

Bernard-Converse (groin) practiced in full Thursday.

Bernard-Converse sustained a groin injury in the Jets' second preseason game against the Panthers on Aug. 17. The 2023 sixth-round pick should be good to suit up for Week 1 against the 49ers after opening the week as a full participant in Thursday's practice. Bernard-Converse appeared in eight regular-season games for the Jets in 2023, finishing with two tackles (one solo) while playing 101 snaps on special teams and four on defense.

  • Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Dealing with groin injury

Bernard-Converse is doubtful to return to Saturday's preseason matchup against the Panthers due to a groin injury, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Bernard-Converse was active before getting hurt, logging four tackles (three solo). The 24-year-old has had a good camp and is vying for a depth spot in a talented and crowded cornerback room. His chance of making the cut could be hurt if the groin issue is more than minor.

  • Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Joins active roster

The Jets activated Bernard-Converse (foot) from the reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.

Bernard-Converse was placed on the team's reserve/PUP list on July 19 after sustaining a foot injury and missed the team's training camp. He was taken by the Jets in the sixth round of the 2023 draft after registering 45 tackles (30 solo) and two interceptions in his final season at LSU. He could see some significant playing time in the Jets' secondary right off the bat with injuries to Sauce Gardner (concussion), D.J. Reed (concussion) and Brandin Echols (hamstring).

  • Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Set to return from PUP

The Jets designated Bernard-Converse (foot) to return from the PUP list Wednesday.

Bernard-Converse will have 21 days to be added to the active roster or he will be forced to remain on the PUP list for the rest of the season. For now, the rookie sixth-round pick can return to practice and will work toward making his NFL debut.

  • Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Moves to reserve/PUP list

The Jets moved Bernard-Converse (foot) to the reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Billy Riccette of USA Today reports.

  • Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Heads to active/PUP list

The Jets placed Bernard-Converse on the active/PUP list Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The severity of the injury remains unclear, but Bernard-Converse is eligible to practice and/or play at any point during the preseason. The LSU product was a sixth-round pick by the Jets in April, and when healthy, he'll compete for a depth role in New York's secondary.

  • Jets' Jarrick Bernard-Converse: Depth piece for secondary

The Jets selected Bernard-Converse in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, 204th overall.

The 6-foot-1 corner wasn't invited to the NFL Combine, but he reportedly posted a 4.39 40-yard dash at his LSU Pro Day and offers a wealth of experience having played in 64 contests across his collegiate career. Expect the lengthy secondary player to give the Jets some versatility as a depth piece.
