  • Patriots' Chasen Hines: Spotted at OTAs

Hines made his first appearance at OTAs on Friday, Karen Guregian of Masslive.com reports.

After starting his rookie season on the non-football injury list, Hines passed his physical last August and participated in practices. He was placed on IR last October with an undisclosed injury and did not play for the rest of the 2022 season. Hines' return will add depth to the right guard position behind Mike Onwenu and Atonio Mafi.

  • Patriots' Chasen Hines: Moves to IR

New England placed Hines (undisclosed) on injured reserve Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Hines started his rookie campaign on the non-football injury list due to an undisclosed issue he suffered while playing for LSU. He passed a physical at the beginning of August and returned to practices, but he never appeared in a game and will now be sidelined for at least four additional contests.

  • Patriots' Chasen Hines: Passes physical, off NFI

Hines (undisclosed) passed his physical Monday and was activated off the non-football injury list, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.

Hines missed the final five games of his LSU career due to injury and remained sidelined during New England's offseason program before ultimately landing on the NFI list ahead of training camp. However, now healthy, the rookie sixth-round pick will look to carve out a role along the Patriots' offensive line ahead of the initial 53-man roster deadline.

  • Patriots' Chasen Hines: Lands on NFI list

The Patriots placed Hines (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Tuesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Hines didn't practice during New England's offseason program while dealing with an undisclosed injury. The sixth-round rookie missed the final five games of his LSU career due to injury, so he may need additional time to recover before hitting the practice field with the Patriots.

  • Patriots' Chasen Hines: Lands in New England

The Patriots selected Hines in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 210th overall.

Hines is the second interior offensive lineman selected by the Patriots in this draft. The 327-pounder out of LSU is squat (6-foot-2) but athletic for his size with a powerful lower half. Hines was plagued with injuries his last season on the bayou as he missed the final five games of the season, but he was healthy for the combine. He projects as a solid depth option at guard for the Patriots.
