Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Distant No. 2 behind Skattebo
Tracy rushed four times for six yards and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 34-17 win over the Eagles.
Tracy returned from a two-game absence due to a shoulder injury but ceded the vast majority of backfield opportunities to Cam Skattebo, who turned 21 touches into 110 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns. Tracy was on the field for 21 offensive snaps compared to only four for Devin Singletary, but Skattebo led the backfield with 49 snaps in addition to getting the lion's share of rushing opportunities. With Skattebo finding success in a workhorse role, Tracy likely will be relegated to a change-of-pace role moving forward.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Cleared to face Eagles
Tracy (shoulder) does not carry an injury designation for Thursday's matchup against Philadelphia, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Tracy was estimated as a limited participant at practice Monday and Tuesday, but he's now set to return from his two-game absence and take the field for Thursday Night Football. Rookie fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo has emerged as the Giants' lead back and has tallied at least 90 scrimmage yards in three consecutive contests, but he's also handled a tremendous workload, so Tracy could handle significant touches even if he operates in a clear reserve capacity versus the Eagles. Devin Singletary is also available behind Skattebo and Tracy.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Limited in walk-through session
Tracy (shoulder) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Though Tracy's limited listing represents no change from Monday's estimated report, head coach Brian Daboll acknowledged that the running back would have done more on-field work Tuesday if the Giants had held a traditional practice, per Evan Barnes of Newsday. Daboll later added that he's optimistic Tracy will be able to play Thursday against the Eagles, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, after the 25-year-old missed the Giants' previous two games with a dislocated right shoulder. If Tracy ends up being cleared for the Week 6 contest, he may have to settle for a secondary role out of the backfield behind rookie Cam Skattebo, who has likely solidified himself as New York's clear No. 1 option after totaling at least 90 yards from scrimmage in each of the past three contests.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Estimated as limited Monday
Tracy (shoulder) was estimated as a limited participant on Monday's practice report, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Tracy returned to practice last Friday and appears to be nearing a return after missing the Giants' past two contests following his shoulder injury Week 3 against the Chiefs. During Tracy's absence, Cam Skattebo has started each of the last two games and has totaled 40-138-0 rushing and 8-56-0 on nine targets out of the backfield. Skattebo lost a critical fumble at the goal line in Sunday's loss to the Saints and hasn't shown enough to slam the door on Tracy regaining his role as the team's RB1 upon his return.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Inactive again in Week 5
Tracy (shoulder) is listed as inactive Sunday at New Orleans, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Tracy got back on the practice field Friday for the first time since dislocating his right shoulder Week 3 versus the Chiefs, but the limited session wasn't enough for the Giants to clear him for game action. While Tracy is missing a second consecutive contest, Cam Skattebo will continue to lead New York's backfield, and Devin Singletary will mix in behind him. Tracy's next chance to return to action is Thursday against the Eagles.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Earns doubtful tag for Week 5
Tracy (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest at New Orleans, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Tracy practiced Friday for the first time since dislocating his right shoulder Week 3 against the Chiefs, with head coach Brian Daboll noting that the running back is "a lot better," per Salomone. Considering his listing ahead of Week 5 action, however, Tracy isn't a serious candidate to play. Assuming Tracy is confirmed to be inactive about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, the Giants again will turn to rookie Cam Skattebo to lead the backfield, with Devin Singletary available for any backfield reps that linger.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: In line to practice Friday
Coach Brian Daboll noted that Tracy (shoulder) is slated to practice Friday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Per the report, Tracy, who didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, is doing "a lot better," and the running back's status for Sunday's game against the Saints has yet to be determined. Added clarity on that front will arrive via the Giants' final Week 5 injury report Friday, but if Tracy is ultimately forced to miss another game, Cam Skattebo would continue to lead the team's backfield this weekend, with Devin Singletary on hand to work in a complementary role.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Remains absent from practice
Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Tracy (shoulder) won't practice Thursday, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports.
Tracy has yet to resume practicing since dislocated his right shoulder in the Giants' 22-9 loss to the Chiefs on Sept. 21. With reports suggesting that Tracy will need 2-to-4 weeks to make a full recovery from the injury, he's on track to miss a second straight game Sunday in New Orleans, though the running back could have a shot at playing in the Giants' Week 6 matchup with the Eagles next Thursday. Tracy's upcoming absence this weekend should once again clear the way for rookie Cam Skattebo to take on a leading role out of the backfield.

Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Absent from practice Wednesday
Tracy (shoulder) is not practicing Wednesday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Tracy's shoulder injury forced him to sit out Week 4, and reports suggest that he'll be sidelined multiple games. With all expectations being that Tracy again sits out Week 5, Devin Singletary will get another opportunity to contribute as the No. 2 running back behind rookie Cam Skattebo. After that, Tracy will face a short turnaround to attempt to take the field on Thursday Night Football against the Eagles in Week 6.
