Jets' Cam Jones: Goes on injured reserve
The Jets placed Jones (hip) on injured reserve Saturday.
Jones sustained a hip injury during the Jets' Week 6 loss against the Broncos. He wasn't able to play Week 7 against the Panthers, and after being ruled out for Week 8 against the Bengals, it's been determined that his injury is severe enough for him to warrant a stint on IR. Jones will be forced to miss at least the next four games, which makes Week 13 against the Falcons on Sunday, Nov. 30 the earliest he is eligible to return.

Jones (hip) won't play Sunday against the Bengals, Eric Allen of the Jets' official site reports.
Jones will miss a second consecutive game due to the hip injury he sustained in the Jets' Week 6 loss to the Broncos. The Jets are hoping to activate usual starter Quincy Williams (shoulder) from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game. The Indiana product was unable to practice all week after sustaining a hip injury in the Jets' Week 6 loss to the Broncos, so it's no surprise that he'll likely be sidelined Sunday. Jones has played primarily on special teams this season (three defensive snaps and 105 special-teams snaps), recording four total tackles. Mark Robinson could see increased work as a reserve outside linebacker if Jones is out in Week 7.
