Truman Jones: Won't make team
Jones (knee) was waived by the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Jones was not waived with an injury designation, so he seems to be healthy enough to compete after missing time during camp. He'll now have the chance to find another opportunity or he might end up on Kansas City's practice squad.

Chiefs' Truman Jones: Misses practice with knee injury
Jones didn't practice Monday due to a knee issue, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Jones was active in Kansas City's preseason loss to the Lions on Saturday, logging 43 defensive snaps and 13 special-teams snaps while finishing with two tackles, including a half-sack. He also recovered a fumble in the contest. Jones' ability to play on special teams could bolster his case for a spot on the Chiefs' 53-man roster, but the knee injury may hurt his chances if it's more than minor.
