Lions' Kerby Joseph: Out versus G-Men

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Still not practicing
Joseph (knee) didn't practice Thursday.
Joseph hurt his knee against Kansas City in Week 6 and hasn't practiced since. The Lions have thus far decided against putting the talented safety on IR, but it's not clear how much longer he'll be out. Joseph would almost certainly need to practice in some capacity Friday to have any chance of playing Sunday against the Giants.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Still on injury report
Joseph (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice.
Joseph has missed the Lions' last four games due to knee injury that he sustained in Week 6 against the Chiefs. The injury has been severe enough for him that he's also been held out of practice, so he's unlikely to play against the Giants on Sunday unless he practices in at least a limited capacity over the next two days.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Missing fourth straight game
Joseph (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Joseph has been unable to practice since injuring his knee during the Lions' Week 6 loss to the Chiefs and will miss a fourth consecutive game as a result. Thomas Harper will continue to start at safety alongside Brian Branch for as long as Joseph is out of action. Joseph's next opportunity to play is Week 12 against the Giants on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Remains on injury report
Joseph (knee) didn't participate in Detroit's practice Wednesday.
Joseph remains sidelined after missing the team's last three games with the knee injury he sustained in the Week 6 loss to the Chiefs. If he's unable to return to practice before Sunday's matchup versus the Eagles, Thomas Harper would likely make his fourth consecutive start at safety.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Won't play against Washington
Joseph (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders.
Joseph is set to miss a third consecutive game due to a knee injury he sustained during the Lions' Week 6 loss to the Chiefs. Thomas Harper and Erick Hallett are candidates to start at safety alongside Brian Branch in Joseph's absence. Joseph will aim to progress enough in his recovery to play in Week 11 against the Eagles on Sunday, Nov. 16.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Misses practice Wednesday
Joseph (knee) did not participate at practice Wednesday.
Joseph has missed two straight games while nursing the knee injury he suffered in Week 6, and he was unable to return to practice to open the week. The safety will have two more shots to practice in some capacity prior to Sunday's matchup with the Commanders.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Ruled out for Week 9
Joseph (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
As expected, Joseph will miss his second straight game, as the bye week wasn't enough time for Joseph to heal up for this NFC North tilt. Thomas Harper and Erick Hallett started at safety in Week 7 and figure to be in line for increased reps once again versus Minnesota.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Not expected to play Week 9
Coach Dan Campbell said Friday that Joseph (knee) is not expected to play Sunday against the Vikings, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
"It's gonna take a minute here," Campbell said of Joseph's recovery. Joseph hasn't played since Week 6 and will miss a second consecutive game with the Lions coming out of their bye week. Thomas Harper and Erick Hallett started at safety against the Buccaneers in Week 7.

Lions' Kerby Joseph: Still working through knee issue
The Lions listed Joseph (knee) as a non-participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
Joseph is recovering from a knee injury he sustained during the Lions' Week 6 loss to the Chiefs, which prevented him from playing against the Buccaneers in Week 7. The Lions didn't hold a practice Wednesday, so the 2022 third-rounder will have two more chances to practice in at least a limited capacity ahead of Sunday's NFC North tilt against the Vikings. Joseph's return would mean less defensive snaps at safety for Thomas Harper and Erick Hallett.
