Dolphins' Julian Hill: Four catches vs. Carolina
Hill caught four of five targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Panthers.
Prior to the Week 5 loss, Hill had caught just two of three targets for 23 yards through Miami's first four games. The Campbell product's increase in usage is likely due to Tyreek Hill (knee) being sidelined for the remainder of the season. Although Hill had his best game of the season, he played behind Darren Waller, who posted a 5-78-1 receiving line Sunday. Expect Hill to continue operating as the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end in the Week 6 matchup against the Chargers.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Secures one of two targets
Hill brought in one of two targets for 19 yards during Miami's 27-21 win over the Jets on Monday.
Hill made the most of his lone reception, but it was the two-touchdown debut of veteran Darren Waller that stole headlines at the tight end position. Waller only played 28 percent of offensive snaps Monday but figures to continue ramping up that total as the season progresses, which positions Hill and Tanner Conner for reserve duties Week 5 against the Panthers.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes one grab vs. Bills
Hill secured his only target for four yards during Thursday's 31-21 loss to the Bills.
Hill and Tanner Conner (one catch for 13 yards on two targets) have had an opportunity to split tight end reps through the first three weeks of the season with Darren Waller (hip) sidelined, but neither has managed to rack up significant receiving production despite those expanded opportunities. Even if Waller remains sidelined Week 4 versus the Jets, neither Hill nor Conner will warrant significant consideration in fantasy lineups.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Not targeted in Week 2 loss
Hill was not targeted during the Dolphins' 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Hill drew another start at tight end with Darren Waller (hip) again sidelined, but neither he nor fellow reserve TE Tanner Conner were targeted versus New England. Though Hill caught a two-point conversion in Week 1, Tua Tagovailoa otherwise hasn't looked his way this season. The tight end position isn't likely to offer tangible fantasy value in Miami until such time as Waller is able to take the field, if then, but the veteran is expected to remain out for Thursday's game against the Bills.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Scores first points of NFL career
Hill recorded a two-point conversion reception during Sunday's 33-8 road loss to the Colts.
Hill wasn't targeted outside of a two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter, which occurred after Miami's first and only touchdown of the day. With Darren Waller (hip) inactive due to an injury setback, Hill got a chance to start at tight end Week 1 and played 58 percent of offensive snaps, while Tanner Conner saw an identical workload. Neither tight end was targeted aside from the untimed two-point conversion attempt, though Conner saw more playing time on third downs while Hill handled the majority of early downs. If Waller is unable to return Week 2 versus the Patriots, Hill and Conner will continue to split time, with neither option carrying notable fantasy value.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Improves in Year 2
Hill secured 12 of 19 targets for 100 yards across 16 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2024.
Hill managed to improve upon his rookie year receiving line of 6-48-0 (on nine targets) despite being held without a catch in Miami's final four games of the regular season. He'll work to continue his development during the 2025 campaign, the final year of his contract with the team.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes pair of catches Sunday
Hill caught two of his three targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 34-19 win versus the Raiders.
While it was a fine game for him, the difference in role between Hill and teammate Jonnu Smith could not have been more clear in Week 11, with the latter playing 52 offensive snaps to Hill's 36 and drawing eight targets to Hill's three. As long as Smith remains available, Hill's path to fantasy relevance is basically nonexistent.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Good to go vs. Las Vegas
Hill (shoulder) was a full participant in Friday's practice and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Raiders, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Hill was limited in Thursday's practice due to a shoulder injury, but he was able to practice without restrictions Friday and will be good to go for Week 11. Hill has mostly been utilized as an extra blocker while serving as the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end behind starter Jonnu Smith.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Limited in Thursday's practice
Hill (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant at Thursday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Hill played through a shoulder injury during Monday's win over the Rams, logging 39 total snaps (29 on offense, 10 on special teams) while failing to haul in his lone target. He was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday's estimated report, but he's still working through a shoulder issue that sidelined him during the Dolphins' Week 9 loss to the Bills. If Hill is able to practice again Friday, he should have a good chance at playing Sunday versus the Raiders.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Good to go Monday
Hill (shoulder) was a full practice participant Saturday and carries no injury designation into Monday's game against the Rams, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hill injured his shoulder in Week 8 against Arizona, which forced him to be sidelined against the Bills in Week 9. He opened this week with consecutive limited practice sessions, but he finished off strong Saturday with a full practice and will suit up Monday. Hill has logged seven catches (on 10 targets) for 45 yards through seven regular-season games while operating as the Dolphins' No. 2 tight end behind Jonnu Smith.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Limited participant Thursday
Hill (shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Hill suffered a shoulder injury in Week 8 against the Cardinals. He was unable to practice all of last week and was sidelined for this past Sunday's loss to the Bills, so Hill's ability to return to practice Thursday is a sign he's making progress through his injury. His practice participation over the next two days will provide more clarity on his status for Monday's game against the Rams. In the two games following the Dolphins' Week 6 bye, Hill logged four catches (on five targets) for 15 yards, with two of those targets occurring in the end zone.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Won't play in Week 9
Hill (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bills, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Hill was unable to practice all week after sustaining a shoulder injury in the Dolphins' Week 8 loss to the Cardinals. His next opportunity to see the field will come in Week 10, when the Dolphins play the Rams on Monday night. Expect Durham Smythe to serve as Miami's No. 2 tight end behind Jonnu Smith in Hill's stead Sunday.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: DNP on Wednesday
Hill (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The Campbell product sustained a shoulder injury in Miami's Week 8 loss to the Cardinals, so it's no surprise he's missing Wednesday's practice. Hill will likely need to upgrade to at least limited participation either Thursday or Friday to have a chance at playing in Week 9, when the Dolphins travel to Buffalo.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Leaves game with shoulder injury
Hill (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Arizona, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.
Hill suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game. With Tanner Conner (coach's decision) inactive, Durham Smythe will be the Dolphins' lone backup tight end behind Jonnu Smith for as long as Hill is sidelined.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes most of two targets
Hill secured both of his targets for 24 yards during Sunday's 24-3 loss to the Seahawks.
Hill played 39 percent of snaps versus Seattle and racked up a superior receiving line to Jonnu Smith (2-18-0) despite drawing one less target. He was on the field for one more offensive play than Smith. Meanwhile, Durham Smythe has looked like the poorest pass-catching option in the Dolphins' tight end corps, with just two catches for 11 yards on the season (six targets). Hill will look to continue making the most of his rotational opportunities versus the Titans on Monday Night Football.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Targeted twice in TNF loss
Hill failed to secure either of his two targets during Thursday's 31-10 loss to the Bills.
Hill has drawn two targets through Miami's first pair of regular-season games, though he's come away with only a single catch for six yards Week 1. It's notable, though, that the Dolphins have deployed Hill, Jonnu Smith and Durham Smythe in a fully fledged rotation to begin the regular season. The second-year TE will look to stay involved Week 3 versus Seattle, a game in which Skylar Thompson looks slated to start under center.

Dolphins' Julian Hill: Makes six grabs in rookie season
Hill secured six of nine targets for 48 yards across 15 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2023.
Hill, who linked with Miami as an undrafted free agent out of Campbell back in May, managed to earn an immediate rotational role on offense despite being forced to miss the first two games of the season due to an ankle injury. If Hill can further his development heading into Year 2, and if the Dolphins decline to add a big name to the tight end room, he could push for a more even split of reps with Durham Smythe.
