Steinmetz (undisclosed) has been activated off Washington's practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list.
Steinmetz has seemingly cleared the league's health and safety protocols and is set to return to practice. Washington has just one game left this season, so it remains to be seen if he will have the opportunity to get called up to the 53-man roster.

Steinmetz signed with Washington's active roster Saturday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Steinmetz has been brought up to the active roster to help boost the team's depth at tackle. Morgan Moses (groin) and David Sharpe (knee) are both considered questionable for Sunday's matchup with the 49ers, so Steinmetz could potentially see some time on the field.

Steinmetz sustained the injury during practice and was carted off the field with his leg in an air cast. The 24-year-old underwent surgery Wednesday night and figures to be moved to injured reserve in the coming days.
