Toliver, who went undrafted out of LSU in 2018, appeared in 27 games across his first NFL two seasons in Chicago, totaling 29 tackles and four pass breakups. He joined the Broncos ahead of the 2020 season but tore his ACL after appearing in two games. Toliver was waived by the Ravens on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Toliver joined Baltimore's practice squad last season but never appeared in a game for the Ravens while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in December 2020 while with Denver. The former LSU defensive back totaled 29 tackles and four passes defended over 27 games in his first two seasons with the Bears before being called up from the Broncos' practice squad for just two games in 2020. Toliver tested positive for the virus, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. He has yet to appear in a game this season, but with the numerous ailments plaguing the Ravens' secondary at the moment, Toliver could earn a look on the active roster. • Kevin Toliver: Won't stay in Denver

The Broncos chose not to tender a contract to Toliver (knee) on Wednesday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.

Due in part of his familiarity with head coach Vic Fangio's defense from their mutual time in Chicago in 2018, Toliver was called up to Denver's active roster on a pair of occasions over the latter half of last season. In his Week 14 appearance against Carolina, he suffered a torn ACL, putting an end to Toliver's third professional campaign. Once fully recovered from the late-season knee injury, the defensive back will look to find a home elsewhere.

Toliver, who played for coach Vic Fangio during his final year as Bears defensive coordinator in 2018, was elevated to the game-day roster ahead of Denver's Week 3 matchup against Tampa Bay, though he ultimately did not see any snaps during the contest.
