Commanders' Frankie Luvu: Notches first sack of season Sunday
Luvu finished Sunday's Week 4 loss to Atlanta with eight tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks.
Luvu tied for second on Washington with his eight stops. Among his tackles was a second-quarter sack of Falcons QB Michael Penix. It was Luvu's first sack of the campaign after he recorded a career-best 8.0 regular-season sacks over 17 contests in 2024.

Commanders' Frankie Luvu: Just two tackles against Green Bay
Luvu finished Thursday's 27-18 loss to the Packers with two assisted tackles.
Luvu played all 68 defensive snaps Thursday, but that extra time on the field didn't translate to the box score. It's just the fourth time in 19 regular-season games since Week 1 of the 2024 season that he has logged two total tackles or less. Next up for Luvu and the Commanders is a home bout against the Raiders on Sunday, Sept. 21.

Commanders' Frankie Luvu: Tallies seven stops in Week 1 win
Luvu posted seven tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 21-6 victory over the Giants.
Luvu finished second on the Commanders in tackles behind Bobby Wagner (10). His tally was right in line with his norm last season, when the veteran linebacker recorded 99 stops over 17 regular-season games. Luvu had a career-best 125 tackles with Carolina in 2023.

Luvu totaled 99 tackles (54 solo), including 8.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season games with the Commanders in 2024. He also had seven passes defensed, including one interception, plus one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
Luvu impressed as a pass rusher in his inaugural campaign with Washington, playing a key every-down role (and a career-high 1,005 snaps on defense) in the Commanders' scheme. The 28-year-old has two years remaining on his deal with the team and is a strong candidate to retain solid IDP value for the 2025 campaign.
