  • Bears' Scott Daly: Re-signs with Bears

Daly agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Listed at center on the depth chart, Daly played in all 17 games this past season while serving as the Bears' long snapper, a role he's expected to reprise in 2025.

  • Bears' Scott Daly: Past knee injury

Daly (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Daly suffered a knee injury in Week 6 against the Jaguars in London. Coming off a Week 7 bye, Daly was able to practice without restrictions Wednesday, and the Bears' long snapper should be good to go against the Commanders on Sunday.

  • Bears' Scott Daly: WIll not return

Daly (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.

Daly operates as the team's long snapper, so his absence could negatively impact the Bears' punt and field-goal units. Cole Kmet will now handle those duties as the team's emergency long snapper, according to Fishbain.

  • Lions' Scott Daly: Returns to Detroit

The Lions re-signed Daly (knee) on Friday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Daly missed the final nine games of the Lions' 2023 campaign due to a knee injury, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. The 30-year-old long snapper has appeared in 42 games over his three-year NFL career, all of those coming with Detroit.

  • Lions' Scott Daly: Heads to IR

The Lions placed Daly on injured reserve Tuesday after he suffered a knee injury in Monday's win over the Raiders, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Though the extent of Daly's injury isn't known, head coach Dan Campbell said that the long snapper will require surgery, according to Justin Rogers of The Detroit News. Look for Detroit to add a new long snapper to its 53-man roster in the coming days.

  • Lions' Scott Daly: Staying in Detroit

The Lions signed Daly to his exclusive rights tender Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Daly is now set to pursue his third consecutive campaign with the Lions, though, he'll have to compete with the newly-signed Jake McQuaide for the team's primary long-snapping duties in 2023.
