Giants' Andrew Thomas: Lining up to play Sunday
Thomas (foot), who remains listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, is planning to play, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report.
Thomas is recovering from a Lisfranc injury and didn't play in the Giants' first two games, but he's seemingly trending toward making his debut after a week of limited practices. The Giants are still keen on taking a cautious approach with the standout left tackle, whose availability ahead of the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff will be determined based on his activity in a pregame workout. If Thomas is ultimately held out or is limited Sunday, Marcus Mbow or James Hudson would be the main candidates to replace him at left tackle.

Giants' Andrew Thomas: Questionable for Sunday
Thomas (foot) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs.
The 2020 first-round pick from Georgia has missed the Giants' last 13 games due to a foot injury sustained in October of 2024, but after a week of limited practice, he's got a chance to return in Week 3. If Thomas is able to suit up Sunday, the Giants may rotate him and James Hudson at left tackle as he eases back into game action, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic.

Thomas is in the final stages of his recovery from foot surgery from last October. He was able to end the week with back-to-back limited practices, but he'll have to wait at least one more week to make his 2025 debut. Giants' Andrew Thomas: Upgrades to limited practice
Thomas (foot) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Thomas returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday, which is in line with the practice plan the team outlined for him earlier in the week. His status for Sunday's game against the Cowboys remains murky after the starting left tackle sat out the Week 1 loss to Washington.
