The Packers signed Babicz to their practice squad Tuesday, per the team's official site.
Babicz, a 6-foot-6 rookie tight end from North Dakota State, was let go from Carolina's practice squad in mid-October but has since found a new home in Green Bay. While he has yet to make his NFL debut, Babicz will now serve as an emergency depth option for the Packers' tight end group should any of them miss time.

Babicz suffered an undisclosed injury Aug. 10 but returned for the team's preseason finale, catching his only target for three yards. However, the 6-foot-6 tight end still finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. Babicz was signed by the Panthers in May as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State, where he finished his final collegiate campaign with 12 catches for 254 yards and four scores.

Babicz (undisclosed) hauled in his lone target for three yards during Friday's preseason game against Buffalo.
Babicz returned to the field just in time for the Panthers' preseason finale after being sidelined with an undisclosed injury suffered Aug. 10. The undrafted rookie was able to play 20 snaps, which seems to indicate that he's healthy heading into final roster cuts Tuesday. Nevertheless, it's unlikely that Babicz will make Carolina's 53-man roster given the team's familiarity with fellow tight ends Colin Thompson (calf) and Stephen Sullivan.

Panthers' Josh Babicz: Carted off with undisclosed injury
Babicz was carted off the Panthers' practice field Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury, Schuyler Callihan of SI.com reports.
The extent of the injury remains unclear, but it's never a good sign when the cart comes out. The rookie undrafted free agent was signed by the Panthers in May after posting 12 receptions for 254 yards and four touchdowns across 15 appearances during his final campaign at North Dakota State.
