Dolphins' Austin Jackson: Still working through toe injury
Per head coach Mike McDaniel on Monday, Jackson (toe) is still weeks away from returning from injured reserve, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Jackson aggravated a toe injury during Miami's Week 1 loss to Indianapolis. The injury was severe enough for him to be placed on IR, and the 2020 first-rounder may not return to action until late in the season. Larry Borom will continue to start at right tackle for as long as Jackson is sidelined.

Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that Jackson (toe) can return from injured reserve later this season, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The 2020 first-round pick from USC was placed on injured reserve Saturday after aggravating a toe injury in the Dolphins' Week 1 loss to the Colts. However, McDaniel's comments Monday suggest Jackson's injury isn't of the season-ending variety. Still, Jackson will be sidelined for at least the Dolphins' next three games, with his earliest possible return coming in a Week 6 matchup against the Chargers.

The return came just days after Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said that his starting right tackle was on track to play in Week 1 at Indianapolis, per C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald. Jackson suffered the injury in early August and had to sit out for most of training camp.
