Tre Brown: Cut by Los Angeles
The Rams released Brown on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
With the Rams' acquisition of Roger McCreary from the Titans on Monday, Brown appears to be the odd man out at cornerback. After signing with the team in September, Brown appeared in five games for Los Angeles, seeing all of his action on special teams.

Rams' Tre Brown: Headed to Los Angeles
The Rams signed Brown to a one-year contract Tuesday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
The move gives the Rams additional depth at corner after Ahkello Witherspoon (collarbone) was placed on injured reserve Monday. Brown was part of the 49ers' training-camp roster but was cut with an injury settlement in early September after suffering a heel injury. The 2021 fourth-rounder logged 26 tackles (21 solo) and one pass defense across 13 regular-season games in 2024 as a member of the Seahawks.

The Commanders hosted Brown (heel) for a workout Monday, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports.
Brown suffered a heel injury during training camp with the 49ers, and the two sides reached an injury settlement after the 2021 fourth-rounder reverted to injured reserve. Brown played in 13 regular-season games (three starts) for the Seahawks in 2024 and finished with 26 tackles (21 solo) and one pass defense.

Tre Brown: Reaches injury settlement with SF
The 49ers released Brown (heel) off injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
Brown hurt his heel in August and consequently landed on IR. He would have missed the 2025 season had he remained there, but since Brown was able to reach an injury settlement with the 49ers, he'll be able to play this year if he gets healthy and finds work.

Brown was limited to individual work this past week while nursing his heel issue. He joins a growing list of the 49ers' secondary players who have been held out or limited in practices due to injury, and his absence Saturday would open the door for Darrell Luter, Jakob Robinson, Chase Lucas and Dallis Flowers to see more snaps at corner. Brown signed a one-year contract with the 49ers in March after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Seahawks.

Brown sustained a knee injury in Seattle's Week 18 win over the Rams, but he now appears to be past the issue. The 27-year-old inked a deal with San Francisco in mid-March after spending the first four years of his career with the Seahawks. Last season, Brown appeared in 13 regular-season games and tallied 26 total tackles and one pass defended across 282 defensive snaps. Now with the 49ers, he's expected to play a depth role in the secondary in 2025.

Brown (knee) signed with the 49ers on Thursday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The 2021 fourth-round pick of the Seahawks played out his rookie deal with his original team, making 13 starts in 39 regular-season games, though he only played in five and then six regular-season contests in his first two years due to a knee sprain and a knee injury that required surgery. Brown recorded 26 tackles (21 solo) and a pass defensed on 282 defensive snaps last season, but he also suffered another knee injury in the regular-season finale. In San Francisco, Brown should have a chance to compete for a starting cornerback job.

Seahawks' Tre Brown: Extent of knee injury unknown
Brown (knee) suffered a knee injury and was unable to return to Sunday's 30-25 win over the Rams, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Brown sustained a knee injury in the first half, ultimately seeing his day come to an end as a result. The cornerback picked up two tackles (one solo) in the contest before departing. Head coach Mike Macdonald said following the contest that the team will "see how long" the cornerback will be sidelined, potentially suggesting that Brown suffered more than a minor injury. With Seattle eliminated from the playoffs, Brown will finish the season having produced 26 total tackles (21 solo) and a pass defensed over 13 games.
