Curl logged seven tackles (four solo) during Thursday's 26-23 overtime loss to San Francisco.
Curl played all but one of the Rams' 86 defensive snaps in Thursday's loss and finished tied with Poona Ford for the third most tackles on the team behind Nate Landman (14) and Quentin Lake (11). Curl has registered at least seven tackles in each of the first five games of the regular season and has accumulated 42 tackles (26 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and three pass defenses (including two interceptions).

Rams' Kamren Curl: Picks off Jones twice in Week 4 win
Curl logged nine tackles (three solo) and three pass defenses (including two interceptions) during the Rams' 27-20 win over the Colts on Sunday.
Curl grabbed his first interception of the season early in the first quarter, when he jumped in front of a deep pass from Daniel Jones that was intended for Adonai Mitchell, and that turnover led to the Rams' first points of the game on a Joshua Karty 42-yard field goal 11 plays later. Curl came up big again late, when he snuck in front of a Jones pass to Michael Pittman within the final minute of the fourth quarter to seal the game for the Rams. Curl played every single defensive snap for the third time this season, and his nine tackles was tied with Quentin Lake for the most on the Rams. Curl is up to 35 total tackles through four games and is well on pace to surpass his total from the 2024 regular season (79 across 16 games).

Curl was sidelined for over a week with an ankle injury, but he now appears to be healthy ahead of the team's second preseason contest Saturday versus the Chargers. The 26-year-old is set to operate as the team's starting strong safety in 2025.

Curl had his ankle stepped on during Tuesday's practice, and coach Sean McVay said the team is relieved it's not a worse injury for the safety. Curl played 16 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 79 tackles (49 solo), nine pass defenses, two forced fumbles and returned a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Curl signed a two-year, $9 million contract with the Rams in March of 2024 after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Commanders, who selected him in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He ended up playing every single defensive snap in 11 of 16 regular-season games and finished third on the Rams in combined tackles behind Christian Rozeboom (135) and Quentin Lake (111), though Curl has failed to a record an interception since his rookie season in 2020. Kamren Kinchens, a 2024 third-round pick, is projected to serve as one of the Rams' starting safeties for the 2025 campaign, and it's unclear whether Curl will fill the other spot or if competition will be brought in via free agency or the draft.
