Rams' Kamren Curl: Returns to action
Curl (ankle) was back in action at practice Monday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Curl was sidelined for over a week with an ankle injury, but he now appears to be healthy ahead of the team's second preseason contest Saturday versus the Chargers. The 26-year-old is set to operate as the team's starting strong safety in 2025.

Rams' Kamren Curl: Dealing with ankle injury
Curl is considered week-to-week with an ankle injury, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Curl had his ankle stepped on during Tuesday's practice, and coach Sean McVay said the team is relieved it's not a worse injury for the safety. Curl started 16 regular-season games last season, logging 79 tackles (49 solo), including 1.0 sacks, nine pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Rams' Kamren Curl: Logs 79 tackles in 2024
Curl played 16 regular-season games in 2024 and finished with 79 tackles (49 solo), nine pass defenses, two forced fumbles and returned a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Curl signed a two-year, $9 million contract with the Rams in March of 2024 after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Commanders, who selected him in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He ended up playing every single defensive snap in 11 of 16 regular-season games and finished third on the Rams in combined tackles behind Christian Rozeboom (135) and Quentin Lake (111), though Curl has failed to a record an interception since his rookie season in 2020. Kamren Kinchens, a 2024 third-round pick, is projected to serve as one of the Rams' starting safeties for the 2025 campaign, and it's unclear whether Curl will fill the other spot or if competition will be brought in via free agency or the draft.
