Jaguars' Montaric Brown: First INT of season in win
Brown recorded five tackles (four solo) and one interception in the Jaguars' win over the Raiders on Sunday.
With Tyson Campbell traded to Cleveland and Travis Hunter (knee) injured, Brown has become more of an every-down cornerback for the Jaguars, logging at least 84 percent of the defensive snaps in each of the last three contests after playing a total of 52 defensive snaps across the first five weeks of the season. Brown has posted 16 tackles (14 solo) and four pass breakups, including the one interception, across six appearances.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: All set for Week 3
Brown (ankle) was a full participant at practice Thursday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Brown has logged a pair of full practices to open the week after missing the team's first two games of the 2025 season with an ankle injury. The 26-year-old could draw a start at cornerback against Houston on Sunday with Jarrian Jones (back) banged up ahead of Week 3.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Inactive Sunday, as expected
Brown (ankle) won't suit up for Sunday's Week 2 matchup versus Cincinnati.
Brown entered the weekend with a designation of doubtful, so it's no surprise that he's not going to play against the Bengals. The fourth-year defensive back did manage to log a trio of limited practices this week, so he could be ready to make his season debut next Sunday against Houston.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Doubtful to play at Cincinnati
Brown (ankle) is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.
Brown was limited at practice all week as he continues to tend to an ankle injury he suffered during training camp, and it appears unlikely he'll play in Week 2. If he truly can't go, Travis Hunter could see more work at cornerback Sunday than he might otherwise.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Logs limited practice Wednesday
Brown (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Brown missed all of training camp and the Jaguars' regular-season opener against the Panthers this past Sunday due to an ankle injury that he suffered in late July. However, his ability to practice in a limited capacity Wednesday is a sign that he is progressing in his recovery. Brown will have two more chances this week to log a full practice and avoid an injury tag heading into the Jaguars' Week 2 clash against the Bengals in Cincinnati on Sunday.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Won't play Sunday
Brown (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's contest against the Panthers, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Brown's absence Sunday comes as no surprise after he didn't practice all week due to an ankle issue. The 26-year-old served as one of Jacksonville's top outside cornerbacks in 2024, recording 75 total tackle and eight passes defended, including one interception, over 17 games. While Brown is sidelined, 2025 second-overall pick Travis Hunter is expected to see increased reps in the Jaguars' secondary.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Out remainder of camp
Brown (leg) will miss the rest of training camp, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.
Brown suffered a lower-leg injury and is not expected to be back during training camp, head coach Liam Coen announced Monday. The 25-year-old had the most productive season of his career in 2024, appearing in all 17 regular-season games while drawing 10 starts and recording his first career interception. It is still unclear whether this injury will linger into the regular season, but it will impact Brown's opportunities for the time being since he was competing for a starting role in Jacksonville's secondary.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Effective in Week 4 loss
Brown tallied eight tackles (five solo) and defensed three passes in a loss to Houston on Sunday.
One of Brown's tackles resulted in a two-yard loss, and he broke up three passes -- one shy of the amount he recorded over 12 contests last season. The Arkansas product has been very productive as a tackler over the past three weeks, recording 26 stops during that span, including a career-high 11 tackles Week 2 versus Cleveland. Brown has played every defensive snap for the Jaguars over the past two weeks and has built up IDP appeal with his recent performances.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Jags' leading tackler in loss
Brown recorded 11 tackles (all solo) during Sunday's 18-13 loss versus the Browns.
Brown led Jacksonville's corners in snaps in Week 2, and he reached the double-digit mark in tackles in a game for the first time in his career. He might not get so many opportunities in Week 3 at Buffalo though, so he's still not on the IDP radar in most formats.
