Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Out remainder of camp
Brown (leg) will miss the rest of training camp, Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville reports.
Brown suffered a lower-leg injury and is not expected to be back during training camp, head coach Liam Coen announced Monday. The 25-year-old had the most productive season of his career in 2024, appearing in all 17 regular-season games while drawing 10 starts and recording his first career interception. It is still unclear whether this injury will linger into the regular season, but it will impact Brown's opportunities for the time being since he was competing for a starting role in Jacksonville's secondary.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Puts forth career year
Brown recorded 75 tackles (55 solo) across 17 regular-season appearances with the Jaguars in 2024. He also had eight passes defensed and one interception.
Brown more than doubled his production totals from 2023, and he played 90-plus percent of Jacksonville's defensive snaps in seven of the 17 contests he appeared in. The 2022 seventh-round pick will work to take another step forward heading into the final year of his rookie deal with the Jaguars.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Nice outing in win
Brown recorded seven tackles (five solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 20-13 win versus the Titans.
Brown got another start in Week 17 over Ronald Darby, and he tallied his eighth pass breakup of the season on a third-quarter throw intended for Calvin Ridley. He projects to remain in a near every-down role in Week 18 when the Jaguars trek to Indianapolis.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Effective in Week 4 loss
Brown tallied eight tackles (five solo) and defensed three passes in a loss to Houston on Sunday.
One of Brown's tackles resulted in a two-yard loss, and he broke up three passes -- one shy of the amount he recorded over 12 contests last season. The Arkansas product has been very productive as a tackler over the past three weeks, recording 26 stops during that span, including a career-high 11 tackles Week 2 versus Cleveland. Brown has played every defensive snap for the Jaguars over the past two weeks and has built up IDP appeal with his recent performances.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Logs seven tackles vs. Buffalo
Brown tallied seven tackles (four solo) in Monday's 47-10 loss to the Bills.
Brown was the Jaguars' coleader in tackling Monday with Chad Muma. Brown has played at least 60 defensive snaps for two straight games, and he was on the field for all 60 of the Jaguars' snaps on defense in Monday's loss. The 2022 seventh-round pick had 34 tackles (25 solo) across 12 regular-season games last season, and through just three games this year he's already accrued 21 tackles (17 solo).

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Jags' leading tackler in loss
Brown recorded 11 tackles (all solo) during Sunday's 18-13 loss versus the Browns.
Brown led Jacksonville's corners in snaps in Week 2, and he reached the double-digit mark in tackles in a game for the first time in his career. He might not get so many opportunities in Week 3 at Buffalo though, so he's still not on the IDP radar in most formats.

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Tallies career-high seven tackles
Brown recorded seven solo tackles and one pass breakup during Sunday's 31-27 loss to Cleveland.
Brown has played 90-plus percent of defensive snaps in each of his last five appearances, and Sunday's seven-tackle performance was the most productive of his young career. If Tyson Campbell (quadriceps) is able to get back on the field Week 15 versus Baltimore, however, Brown will stand to revert back to a depth role on defense.
