Austin Trammell: Lands back on practice squad
Trammell reverted to Jacksonville's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Trammell was elevated ahead of Sunday's Week 4 matchup against San Francisco but didn't get into the game. His opportunity came as a result of Dyami Brown (shoulder) missing the contest. If Brown is sidelined again in Week 5, Trammell could get another gameday opportunity, but he doesn't seem likely to play a major role.

Jaguars' Austin Trammell: Elevated from practice squad
The Jaguars elevated Trammell from the practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Trammell will provide extra depth at receiver for Jacksonville, as Dyami Brown is currently questionable with a shoulder injury. This is the first time the team has elevated Trammell, and it will be able to do so two more times this season following Sunday's matchup.

Austin Trammell: Staying in Jacksonville
The Jaguars signed Trammell to the practice squad Friday.
Trammell initially made the Jaguars' 53-man roster out of training camp but was waived Wednesday to make room for Tim Patrick, who was acquired by Jacksonville from Detroit. Trammell will remain with the Jaguars on the team's practice squad and would be a top candidate to be elevated to the active roster should the team require additional depth at wide receiver.

Austin Trammell: Waived after team trades for WR
Trammell was waived by the Jaguars on Wednesday, Demetrius Harvey of the Florida Times-Union reports.
Trammell made it through cutdown day, only to get waived the following day to make room on the roster for trade acquisition Tim Patrick. Trammell will likely latch on with Jacksonville's practice squad if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

Jaguars' Austin Trammell: Stays in Duval on futures deal
Jacksonville signed Trammell to a reserve/futures contract Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
In his only appearance this regular season, Trammell caught two of his three targets for 40 yards, but he also lost a fumble. In 2025, he'll be fighting for a roster spot among a group of wide receivers that mostly disappointed in the most recent campaign.

Austin Trammell: Reverts to practice squad
Trammell reverted to the Jaguars' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction report.
Trammell was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for the first time this season for Week 9 against the Eagles, and he finished the game with two catches (on three targets) for 40 yards. His 33 snaps on offense were third most among the Jags' wide receivers behind Brian Thomas (49) and Parker Washington (46). Trammell could be elevated for Week 10 against the Vikings if Gabe Davis continues to be sidelined due to a shoulder injury.

Jaguars' Austin Trammell: Elevated from practice squad
The Jaguars elevated Trammell from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Trammell was unable to make the Jaguars' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he opted to stick around on the practice squad. He could see some meaningful snaps on offense against the Eagles on Sunday if one or both of Brian Thomas (chest) and Gabe Davis (shoulder) is unable to play.

Austin Trammell: Back with Jaguars
The Jaguars signed Trammell to their practice squad Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Trammell will rejoin Jacksonville's squad after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster Tuesday. The fourth-year wideout appeared in 16 games with the Rams in 2023, catching four of his seven targets for 29 yards and no touchdowns while also playing 139 special-teams snaps.

Austin Trammell: Gets cut loose

Jaguars' Austin Trammell: Joining Jacksonville
The Jaguars signed Trammell on Wednesday.
The fourth-year wide receiver out of Rice spent the last three seasons with the Rams and Falcons, but he has now found a new home in Jacksonville. Trammell saw the most action of his career in 2023, when he tallied 183 punt-return yards and 101 kick-return yards. He's expected to compete for a depth role at receiver as well as a return gig with the Jaguars this offseason.

Rams' Austin Trammell: Serves as primary return man
Trammell caught four passes for 29 yards, returned six kicks for 101 yards and 25 punts for 183 yards during the 2023 regular season. He also fumbled three times.
The return numbers for the third year wideout and special teams contributor were meager compared to his contemporaries in the league (for reference, Keisean Nixon led the NFL with 782 kick return yards), and three fumbles also stands out as a worrisome stat. The Rams' special teams unit as a whole struggled mightily in 2023 between kicking woes and a lack of production in the return game, and while Trammell is an exclusive rights free agent, the Rams may not be keen on extending him a contract and could let him walk in free agency.

Rams' Austin Trammell: Handling special-teams role
Trammell played two snaps on offense and returned one kickoff for 22 yards and three punts for nine yards in Sunday's 37-31 overtime loss to the Ravens.
Since playing 71 percent of the Rams' snaps on offense in a Week 11 win over the Seahawks in which Cooper Kupp exited early with an ankle injury, Trammell has logged just six snaps on offense in total over Los Angeles' subsequent three contests. Even though the team's receiver depth took a hit with Tutu Atwell (concussion) exiting in the second quarter Sunday, the Rams turned to Demarcus Robinson and Ben Skowronek (ankle) before Trammell to handle reps alongside Kupp and Puka Nacua. Trammell should remain active on game days due to his role as the team's top kickoff and punt returner, but he's unlikely to see a substantial increase in playing time on offense even if both Atwell and Skowronek miss the Rams' Week 15 game versus the Commanders.

Rams' Austin Trammell: Sees big usage in win
Trammell caught three of six targets for 23 yards during Sunday's 17-16 victory against the Seahawks. He also returned four punts for 30 yards.
Despite being primarily used as a special-teams player by the Rams through most of the season, Trammell saw a significant amount of action Sunday when Cooper Kupp (ankle) went down with an injury. Trammell's 46 snaps from scrimmage more than tripled the amount of snaps he had taken on offense all season (13), and was more than his fellow backups Ben Skowronek (nine) and Demarcus Robinson (seven) had combined. Trammell's six targets were also just one less than Puka Nacua and Darrell Henderson, and an expanded role may be available for the versatile wideout if Kupp were to miss any additional time.
