The Seahawks signed Blair (undisclosed) on Friday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Marquise Blair: Cut by Carolina
The Panthers cut Blair from their practice squad Monday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Carolina had used all of their three allowed standard elevations for Blair and opted to let him go rather than signing him to the active roster. The 25-year-old safety played almost exclusively on special teams for the Panthers, and he'll now have to look for more snaps elsewhere.

Blair posted nine tackles (nine solo) in Thursday's 27-11 preseason loss to the Bears.
Blair underwent knee surgery in October of last year and missed the rest of the 2021 season. He's since been cleared and is a full-go, and he led the Seahawks in tackles Thursday. The 2019 second-round pick has struggled to stay healthy in his career, but he has a good chance to make the 53-man roster after the Seahawks traded DB Ugo Amadi to the Eagles last week.

Coach Pete Carroll said Thursday that he is unsure if Blair (kneecap) will be ready for the start of Seattle's training camp despite the safety's optimism for a return, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Blair suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 7 against the Saints last season and has struggled to stay on the field since his rookie season with the Seahawks, playing just eight games over the past two years. The 2019 second-round pick saw action in 14 games, including three starts, during his inaugural campaign when he registered 32 tackles and two forced fumbles.
