Kai Nacua: Restored to practice squad
Nacua (undisclosed) was activated from the 49ers' practice squad injured list Tuesday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Nacua was injured in Week 8, which was his only action of the 2021 campaign. The BYU product hasn't had a consistent role in the NFL since 2017, but he will now try to earn another shot with the active roster.

Nacua was injured in Sunday's game against the Bears, which was his first NFL action of the 2021 season. The BYU product, who hasn't had a consistent NFL role since 2017, will try to work his way back to the field when he is eligible to return in three weeks.

Nacua (undisclosed) was injured in Sunday's 33-22 win over the Bears, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
No word yet on what the injury is or how severe it might be. Nacua had only played three defensive snaps all season entering the contest, so any absence would mostly be felt on special teams.

The 49ers waived Nacua on Friday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Nacua hasn't seen NFL action since 2017, when he appeared in 16 games for Browns as a rookie. The 25-year-old spent the majority of last season on the 49ers' practice squad after reaching an injury settlement with the Colts.

Nacua (undisclosed) signed to San Francisco's practice squad Tuesday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The 25-year-old was waived/injured by the Colts in training camp and reverted to injured reserve, but he eventually reached an injury settlement to return to free agency. Nacua hasn't seen NFL action since recording 14 tackles across 16 games as a rookie for the Browns in 2017.

Nacua (undisclosed) went unclaimed on waivers and reverted to the Colts' injured reserve Sunday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
It's unclear exactly what kind of injury Nacua is dealing with. In 16 games with Cleveland last season, the 24-year-old logged 216 defensive snaps, 140 snaps on special teams, 14 total tackles and two sacks.

The Ravens claimed Nacua off of waivers from the Browns on Tuesday.
Nacua played 216 defensive snaps last season, playing some safety for the Browns in addition to his role as a special teams player, but the team's addition of Damarious Randall as the proposed free safety made him expendable. He made just 14 tackles (12 solo) while appearing in all 16 games last season and joins a team that already possesses an established option at free safety with Eric Weddle. Nacua will likely be limited mainly to special teams duties in 2018 but could see the field if injuries surface.
