Texans' Rashaad Coward: Signs with Houston
Coward signed with the Texans on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The Texans quickly moved to add a lineman after projected starting right tackle Tytus Howard sustained a broken hand and will miss up to six weeks. Coward, 28, has experience at both guard and tackle and started 18 of 38 games during his career, including three starts in 2022 for the Cardinals. He's also been with the Bears, Steelers, Jaguars and Falcons.

Coward has been made unavailable for both of Arizona's previous two games due to a chest injury, but his ability to practice without limitations Wednesday suggests that the issue is now a thing of the past. Despite the numerous injuries at the position, the 28-year-old will likely handle a reserve role for the Cardinals' offensive line.

Coward will join Arizona after a successful workout with the team earlier Monday. The veteran offensive guard played four games for the Steelers last season, although 16 of his 18 total snaps came on special teams during that span.
