Ravens' Patrick Ricard: Expected to return after preseason
Ricard (undisclosed) didn't practice this week due to a soft-tissue injury but is expected to resume practicing the week after the preseason concludes, Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Banner reports.
Ricard won't play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Commanders, but the fullback will then have two weeks to get up to speed before the Ravens begin regular-season play Sept. 7 against the Bills. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the fifth time in his career in 2024.

Ravens' Patrick Ricard: Re-signs with Baltimore
Ricard is re-signing with the Ravens, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Ricard has been with the Ravens since 2018 and played more than 400 snaps on offense each of the past five seasons. He'll turn 31 in May and figures to reprise his role as a lead blocker in heavy formations, having never topped 11 receptions or seven carries in a season.

Ravens' Patrick Ricard: Tallies three touches in 2024
Ricard recorded three catches on five targets for 22 yards and a touchdown over 17 regular-season games in 2024. He did not log any carries.
For the third straight season, Ricard played in all 17 of Baltimore's regular-season contests. He also finished without a carry for the second consecutive campaign, and his three receptions were his fewest since 2018. Ricard is set to become an unrestricted free agent, but Ravens GM Eric DeCosta has indicated a desire to re-sign the veteran fullback, per Ryan Mink of the team's official site.

Ravens' Patrick Ricard: Cashes in short-area target for TD
Richard played 36 of the Ravens' 51 snaps on offense and hauled in his lone target for a three-yard touchdown reception in Sunday's 41-10 win over the Broncos.
With a season-high 63 percent snap share, Ricard surprisingly paced all Ravens skill-position players not named Lamar Jackson in playing time in Week 9. The fullback had played just 11 snaps a week earlier in a loss to Cleveland in which Jackson attempted 38 passes, but with Baltimore in control throughout the Week 10 contest and leaning heavily on the run, Ricard saw his snaps pick up considerably. He was able to capitalize on the extra playing time by finding paydirt on a short target near the goal line late in the third quarter for his first touchdown of the campaign and just his second in the last three seasons.

Ravens' Patrick Ricard: Can't haul in lone target
Ricard failed to corral his lone target and played 21 of the Ravens' 59 snaps on offense in Monday's 41-31 win over the Buccaneers.
The veteran fullback has played double-digit snaps on offense in each of the Ravens' first seven games, but he's yet to carry the ball or record a reception. Monday's contest marked just the second time all season that he's been targeted by quarterback Lamar Jackson.
