His blocking ability has earned Alie-Cox steady playing time in what has been an underwhelming tight-end room in recent years, but he has fallen short of 200 receiving yards in each of the past three regular seasons.

Alie-Cox had previously dealt with a hip injury that limited his practice reps in recent weeks. The toe issue is new, but Alie-Cox logged a full practice Friday after a pair of DNPs to open the week. He's been following this same regimen for a couple weeks now and has yet to miss a contest this season. Alie-Cox has 12 catches for 147 yards and one touchdown this season.

Alie-Cox played through a hip injury in Week 16 against the Titans and finished with one catch (on two targets) for 15 yards, but it appears he may have picked up a toe injury in the process. His practice participation over the next two days will provide clarity on his status heading into Sunday's game against the Giants. If Alie-Cox is not cleared to play, Kylen Granson and Will Mallory would serve as the Colts' backup tight ends behind starter Drew Ogletree.

He's well off the fantasy radar in a Colts offense that likes to use multiple tight ends.

Alie-Cox will miss a second consecutive practice due to the hip injury he managed to play through during the Colts' loss to the Broncos in Week 15. The veteran tight end hasn't yet missed a game this season, but across 14 appearances he's racked up just 11 catches for 132 yards and one touchdown on 18 targets. Friday will represent the last chance for Alie-Cox to resume practicing ahead of Sunday's divisional matchup against the Titans.

The VCU product played through his hip injury in Indianapolis' Week 15 loss to the Broncos and failed to record a stat across 28 total snaps (22 offensive and six on special teams). Wednesday's DNP is likely an indication that the injury worsened Sunday, putting Alie-Cox in jeopardy of missing the Week 16 divisional matchup against the Titans.
