    The 49ers waived Kirklin on Monday, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

    Kirklin signed with the 49ers earlier in August, but the team has now decided to part ways with the 25-year-old wideout. He has yet to appear in an NFL game after recording four receptions for 49 yards and no touchdowns during his final collegiate season at LSU in 2021, but he did star for the UFL's San Antonio Brahmas this past spring with 56 receptions for 614 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season.
