Panthers' Lonnie Johnson : Won't play Sunday
Johnson (shoulder/neck) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Falcons.
Johnson logged three consecutive DNPs during the Panthers' week of practice after sustaining a shoulder injury in the Week 17 loss to the Buccaneers, so missing Sunday's regular-season finale comes as no surprise. Nick Scott and Sam Franklin are expected to serve as Carolina's top reserve safeties in Johnson's stead in Week 18.

Johnson (hip) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Johnson was inactive for Carolina's Week 4 loss to the Bengals after sustaining a hip injury the week prior, but following Wednesday's full practice, it appears he's moved past the issue. Expect the 28-year-old to continue serving as a depth piece in the Panthers' secondary as the team travels to Chicago in Week 5.

Panthers' Lonnie Johnson : Inactive for Week 4
Johnson (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official website reports.
Johnson played exclusively on special teams through the first three games, so his absence shouldn't impact Carolina's defense. The extent of Johnson's hip injury remains unclear, but he left the Panthers' Week 3 win over the Raiders early and didn't practice during Week 4 prep.
