Sam Ehlinger: Back on Denver's practice squad
The Broncos signed Ehlinger to the practice squad Wednesday, Jon Heath of USA Today reports.
Ehlinger was released from the Broncos' active roster Tuesday to make room for linebacker Dre Greenlaw, but the former has returned to Denver as a member of the team's practice squad. Ehlinger would be in line to be elevated to the active roster if Bo Nix or Jarrett Stidham miss time due to injury, illness or suspension.

Sam Ehlinger: Cut by Denver again
The Broncos released Ehlinger on Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
The move makes room on the active roster for Dre Greenlaw after the veteran linebacker had his one-game suspension lifted. It's the second time this season that Ehlinger has been cut from the active roster, but the expectation is that he will remain in Denver on the practice squad. He has not appeared in a regular-season game since 2023 as a member of the Colts.

Ehlinger lost the backup quarterback job to Jarrett Stidham. A 2021 sixth-round pick, Ehlinger last threw a regular-season pass during the 2022 season when he played four games (three starts) and completed 63 percent of his passes for 573 yards (5.7 YPA), three touchdowns and three interceptions.
