Top Keon Coleman News

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Inactive versus Houston

Coleman is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Texans.

Coleman was also inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Buccaneers after being late to a team meeting, per Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN. In the 2024 second-rounder's continued absence, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Tyrell Shavers, Gabe Davis and Elijah Moore are slated to handle Buffalo's Week 12 wideout duties, with Coleman's next chance to rejoin the mix arriving Nov. 30 against the Steelers.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Expected to be inactive Thursday

Coleman is expected to be a healthy scratch Thursday night against the Texans, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN reports.

Coleman was inactive for Buffalo's win over Tampa Bay in Week 11 after being late to a team meeting on the Friday prior to the contest. Assuming he's among the Bills' inactives for Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer, Tyrell Shavers, Gabe Davis and Elijah Moore will handle the team's WR duties versus Houston.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Inactive Sunday

Coleman is inactive for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Coleman is being made inactive Sunday because he missed a team meeting Friday. With Coleman -- who is second on the Bills with 49 targets through nine games -- a scratch Sunday, Joshua Palmer, Gabe Davis, Tyrell Shavers, Curtis Samuel and Mecole Hardman are candidates to see added opportunities along with No. 1 wideout Khalil Shakir. Meanwhile, top tight end Dalton Kincaid (hamstring) is also inactive, so Palmer will have a chance to claim a share of the targets that would normally go to Coleman and/or Kincaid in his first appearance since Week 6.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Expected to be healthy scratch

The Bills are expected to make Coleman a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, according to NFL reporter Jordan Schultz.

Buffalo's decision to elevate Gabe Davis from the practice squad and sign Mecole Hardman to the 53-man roster Saturday were indicators that the team was planning on shaking up its receiver personnel for Week 11, and Coleman looks like he'll be one of the odd men out. According to Schultz, Coleman's impending demotion isn't based on his performance, though the second-year wideout's underwhelming production in recent weeks -- as well as the return of Joshua Palmer from a three-game absence -- probably didn't help his case for retaining a regular role on offense. Since a standout Week 1 outing in which he recorded an 8-112-1 receiving line on 11 targets in a win over the Ravens, Coleman has averaged 3.0 catches, 27.3 yards and 4.8 targets over the Bills' subsequent eight contests.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Gets into end zone Sunday

Coleman secured three of eight targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 30-13 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Coleman was far from efficient, but he did finish second in receiving yards and targets behind Khalil Shakir and recorded his third touchdown of the season on a 35-yard catch early in the fourth quarter. Coleman's receiving yardage tally was his highest since Week 1, but his production remains modest overall, and he's posted three catches or less in seven of the last eight games. Coleman next takes aim at the Buccaneers secondary in a Week 11 home matchup.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Underwhelms again in Week 9

Coleman caught both of his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 28-21 win over the Chiefs.

The second-year wideout from Florida State has struggled over his last three games, catching eight of 12 targets for just 58 yards despite leading the Bills' wide-receiver room in snaps played (138 snaps) during that span. Even so, Coleman has had a solid season overall, recording 284 yards and two touchdowns on 29 catches. He's likely to remain the Bills' No. 1 wideout and will look to get back on track heading into the Week 10 matchup against the Dolphins.
