Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Two grabs against Browns
Ferguson caught two of three targets for 48 yards in Saturday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Browns.
After missing the Rams' first two exhibition contests due to a groin injury, Ferguson was able to suit up Saturday and hauled in passes of 33 and 15 yards on a drive late in the second quarter. Tyler Higbee remains atop the depth chart at tight end, but Ferguson -- a second-round pick in the 2025 Draft -- may offer more big-play upside as a receiver right out of the gate.

Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Will suit up Saturday
Ferguson (groin) will play in Saturday's preseason finale against the Browns, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Ferguson returned to practice Monday after having been forced to sit out the Rams' first two preseason games due to a groin injury, but the rookie second-round pick will get a chance to make his exhibition debut on the road versus Cleveland on Saturday. Prior sustaining his groin injury early August, Ferguson had drawn encouraging early reviews at training camp. He'll work to pick up where he left off and continue building momentum Saturday, with the goal of earning opportunities behind 32-year-old incumbent starting tight end Tyler Higbee.

Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Gets back on practice field
Ferguson (groin) participated in practice Monday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Rams coach Sean McVay said Ferguson was "a little bit limited" in his first practice since Aug. 2, when he suffered a groin injury, but also said he was encouraged by the rookie second-round pick's activity in full pads. Ferguson's groin injury forced him to miss Los Angeles' first two preseason games, so Saturday's road matchup against the Browns will represent the rookie tight end's final chance to log exhibition reps before Week 1.

Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Sidelined by groin injury
Ferguson was unable to practice Saturday due to a groin strain, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Coach Sean McVay downplayed the severity of the injury but also admitted that Ferguson has no timeline to return. Ferguson had gotten strong reviews in camp for his ability to find soft spots in zone coverage while being a reliable target, but this injury will slow his momentum for the time being.

Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Signing rookie deal with Rams
Ferguson is ready to sign his rookie deal with Los Angeles after having agreed to terms with the team on his four-year contract Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Ferguson had been among the second-round picks of the 2025 Draft class holding out for more guaranteed money in their rookie contracts, and Schefter now reports that he gets roughly $8 million of his four-year, $9.7 million deal guaranteed. Ferguson's draft capital and pass-catching chops promise real upside in the Rams' offense, surpassing 32-year-old incumbent starter Tyler Higbee. However, Higbee is healthy after missing most of 2024 due to injury, and he will provide a notable challenge for the rookie. Higbee is slated to hit free agency next offseason, however.
