The Packers claimed Baker off waivers from the Raiders on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Baker played five offensive snaps in the Raiders' preseason opener against the Seahawks last Thursday but didn't draw a target. The Packers are dealing with all sorts of injuries in their wide receiver room, so Baker gives them a healthy body to get through camp and the preseason. He's never caught a regular-season pass in the NFL.

Kawaan Baker: Cut by Las Vegas
Baker was waived by the Raiders on Monday.
Baker signed with the Raiders on Aug. 3, but he will now potentially be looking for another opportunity elsewhere. The move made room for Marquez Callaway, who was signed by the team Monday. If Baker clears waivers, it's certainly possible that he sticks around Las Vegas as a member of the team's practice squad.

Baker was most recently on the Eagles' practice squad, and has yet to play an NFL game this season. However, he spent part of 2021 in New Orleans, playing two games for the team. Baker will be first available to return during the Saints' Week 7 clash against the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football. After being selected 255th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft by New Orleans, Baker spent his rookie season jumping back and forth between the team's active roster and practice squad, where he ultimately appeared in two games on special teams. Given the second-year receiver entered camp fighting for a roster spot, the near future doesn't present a clear path to targets for Baker, as the Saints have Michael Thomas (ankle) back, drafted Chris Olave 11th overall in this year's NFL Draft and signed Jarvis Landry back in May, not to mention Marquez Callaway and Tre-Quan Smith's established rapport in this offense.
