Hausmann signed a contract with the Commanders on Monday.
Hausmann will join Washington after being waived by the Seahawks on Aug. 5. The Ohio State product has yet to make his NFL debut after entering the league in 2019. Eli Wolf (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Monday, opening a roster spot for Hausmann.

The Seahawks waived Hausmann on Friday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Hausmann was signed by Seattle at the start of training camp, but was let go on Friday to make room on the 90-man roster to sign rookie linebacker Joel Dublanko. The 24-year-old tight end will now look to sign with a new team in hopes to make a roster ahead of the 2022 season.

Hausmann was claimed off waivers by the Giants on Saturday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Hausmann spent most of the offseason with the Lions, and he'll now compete for a depth role with the Giants ahead of Saturday's preseason opener. The rookie appeared in 27 games across his four seasons at Ohio State and recorded just three receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown.
