  • Packers' Josh Jacobs: Another quick preseason appearance

Jacobs rushed the ball one time for five yards in Saturday's 20-7 preseason win over the Seahawks.

Jacobs suited up for the second time this preseason and once again made a very quick appearance. He took a carry on the first play of the game and then departed the contest to ensure he's ready for a Week 1 matchup against the Lions. Jacobs should be in line for a heavy workload once again as the Packers' clear workhorse back.

  • Packers' Josh Jacobs: In uniform for preseason game

Jacobs and other starters are in uniform for pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's preseason game against the Seahawks, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

This doesn't necessarily mean they'll play, but for now it's a possibility, with coach Matt LaFleur declining to announce his plans for the final preseason game. Starting QB Jordan Love (finger) isn't in uniform, but that's because of his recent surgery -- something not expected to impact his Week 1 availability.

  • Packers' Josh Jacobs: Not suiting up Saturday

Jacobs will not play in Saturday's preseason contest against the Colts, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.

Jacobs started Green Bay's preseason opener against the Jets, playing just one offensive snap, but the Packers will opt against risking certain key starters Saturday versus Indianapolis. In addition to injured players such as Jordan Love (thumb), Jayden Reed (knee), Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Romeo Doubs (back), several key starters alongside Jacobs will be healthy scratches, including TE Tucker Kraft. Malik Willis (starting under center), rookie first-round receiver Matthew Golden, and backup running backs Emanuel Wilson and MarShawn Lloyd will be among key offensive playmakers available for the Packers.

  • Packers' Josh Jacobs: Limited to one snap

Jacobs started and played one snap in Saturday's 30-10 exhibition loss to the Jets.

Jacobs suited up for Green Bay's preseason opener and was on the field when the game began, but he did not record a touch in the contest. The lack of action was not injury-related, and Jacobs is set to open the season as the top option in the backfield for the Packers.
