Thomas (illness) participated in Houston's training camp session Wednesday, Ashley Landis of News Castle News reports.
Thomas has now fully recovered from the illness that landed him on the team's reserve/non-football illness list last December. He will now have the chance to compete for a spot as a backup guard on the team's final roster.

Texans' Zachary Thomas: Sidelined with illness
The Texans placed Thomas on the reserve/non-football illness list Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Thomas played in eight games with New England early in the campaign before joining Houston for six contests, and he's yet to make a start in his three-year NFL career. The Texans signed Austin Deculus on Tuesday to fill Thomas' spot as a depth offensive lineman.

Bears' Zachary Thomas: Windy City bound
The Bears selected Thomas in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 186th overall.
Thomas played all over the line at San Diego State, including right guard and both tackle spots. He showed solid athleticism at the combine with a sub-5.0 in the 40 at 308 pounds. Thomas projects as a depth option at tackle for the Bears.
