Ismael has agreed to a one-year contract extension with the Cardinals, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Ismael filled a depth role along Arizona's offensive line in 2023, and he's likely to reprise that role in 2024. The interior offensive lineman has appeared in 31 NFL games but started only five.

Keith Ismael: Joins 49ers' practice squad
The 49ers signed Ismael (consussion) to their practice squad Tuesday.
Ismael was waived by Washington, after he suffered a concussion prior to the team's Week 1 contest against Jacksonville. He'll now have a chance for a promotion to San Francisco's active roster, should the team undergo injuries to its offensive line.

Keith Ismael: Let go with injury settlement
The Commanders waived Ismael (concussion) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Ismael was placed on IR by the Commanders on Tuesday with what has been identified as a concussion, but he now will be eligible to play in 2022 after reaching a settlement with the team. The center started four games and appeared in 10 contests overall with Washington last season.

Ismael signed his exclusive rights tender with the Commanders on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Ismael agreed to return for his third season with Washington after playing 10 games, including four starts, last year. The 2020 fifth-round pick alternated between the team's active roster and practice squad over his first two seasons in the NFL and will likely have to compete for a reserve spot on the offensive line this offseason.

Washington activated Ismael from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
Washington could still be without at least 20 players this weekend due to COVID-19-related matters, but Ismael's reinstatement to the roster at least gives the Football Team a healthy body at center. With Chase Roullier (lower leg) out for the season and Tyler Larsen still on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Ismael should step into a starting role Week 15.

Ismael was Washington's fifth-round selection in 2020 and made his season debut in the team's 17-10 loss to the Broncos Sunday. With Chase Roullier (leg) placed on IR earlier this week, Ismael will provide depth to Washington's offensive line moving forward. Washington is on bye Week 9 and faces the Buccaneers in Week 10.
