Raiders' Marquez Callaway: Headed to Las Vegas
Callaway and the Raiders agreed on a contract Monday.
Callaway will join the Raiders ahead of the team's second preseason contest Saturday versus the 49ers. The wide receiver has appeared in five regular-season games in the last two years with the Saints and Buccaneers, and if he does crack the Raiders' 53-man roster, it'd likely be as a special-teams asset.

Marquez Callaway: Cut by San Francisco
Callaway was released by the 49ers on Sunday.
Callaway signed a one-year deal with San Francisco on July 31, but he'll now return to free agency. The wide receiver hasn't played in any meaningful action since he played in 14 games with the Saints in 2022, and wherever he ends up, he'll likely be competing for a spot as a special-teams option in 2025.

49ers' Marquez Callaway: Finds work with San Francisco
The 49ers signed Callaway to a one-year contract Thursday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The 27-year-old wide receiver appeared in two regular-season games for the Bucs last season but played just five offensive snaps and didn't draw a single target. He hasn't played meaningful regular-season snaps since 2022 with the Saints and should be viewed as a long shot to make the Niners' 53-man roster.

Marquez Callaway: Let go by Tampa Bay
The Buccaneers released Callaway on Tuesday, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Callaway signed a reserve/future contract with Tampa Bay in January, but the team no longer had a need for him after drafting Emeka Egbuka in the first round and Tez Johnson in the seventh round. Callaway played only four offensive snaps in two games with the Buccaneers during the 2024 campaign and will now look to catch on with another team.

Buccaneers' Marquez Callaway: Signs with Tampa Bay
Callaway signed a reserve/future contract with the Bucs on Tuesday.
Let go by New Orleans in August, Callaway signed with Tampa Bay's practice squad in October and appeared in a pair of regular-season contests, though he played a total of five offensive snaps. Turning 27 years old in March, Callaway will compete for a roster spot this coming offseason.

Marquez Callaway: Descends to practice squad
Callaway reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday.
This was Callaway's second game on the active roster this season, with his promotion the result of Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (IR, ankle) being unavailable and Jalen McMillan (hamstring) not logging any snaps despite being active. Still, Callaway played just two offensive snaps and didn't draw a target.

Buccaneers' Marquez Callaway: Elevated again for Week 10
The Buccaneers elevated Callaway from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Callaway was elevated for the first time last week to face Kansas City and logged two offensive snaps without drawing a target. Tampa Bay can use all the help it can get at receiver due to Chris Godwin (ankle) being lost for the season, Mike Evans (hamstring) out for a third straight week and Jalen McMillan (hamstring) questionable against the 49ers on Sunday. Even with all of those injuries, Callaway doesn't figure to be a major factor versus San Francisco given his snap count last week.

Marquez Callaway: Back to practice squad
Callaway reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad Tuesday, per the NFL's official transaction long
Callaway was elevated to the active roster ahead of Monday's 30-24 loss to Kansas City, failing to log any stats while playing just two offensive snaps. With Mike Evans (hamstring) and Jalen McMillan (hamstring) both unavailable, Callaway failed to capitalize on his opportunity. If either Evans or McMillan is unable to play Sunday against the 49ers, Callaway could be elevated from the practice squad again.

Buccaneers' Marquez Callaway: Joins Bucs' active roster
Callaway was elevated to the Buccaneers' active roster from the practice squad Monday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Callaway signed with Tampa Bay's practice squad in mid-October, and he's now in line to make his 2024 debut in Monday night's matchup against the Chiefs. The Tennessee product appeared in just three games with the Saints in 2023, recording no stats across 27 offensive snaps. Expect Callaway to serve as a depth piece in a depleted Buccaneers wide-receiver room in Week 9.

Marquez Callaway: Gets chance in Tampa Bay
Callaway signed a deal with the Buccaneers' practice squad Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Callaway spent the offseason with the Steelers before being cut at the start of training camp. He quickly found a new opportunity in New Orleans, where he spent his first four seasons, and spent training camp in the Big Easy. However, he was unable to make it through final roster cuts. The fifth-year pass catcher will now look to make an impression with a new NFC South team in Tampa.

Marquez Callaway: Let go by New Orleans
The Saints cut Callaway on Sunday.
The move is to make room on the Saints' 90-man training camp roster for wide receiver Shaquan Davis. After being let go by Pittsburgh in late July, Callaway returned to New Orleans on Aug. 1 after spending most of the 2023 season on the Saints' practice squad. He played 16 snaps (15 on offense, one on special teams) in Saturday's 16-14 preseason win over the Cardinals, but he was unable to convert on his lone target from quarterback Spencer Rattler late in the fourth quarter. Callaway now will look to earn a spot on another team that is in need of depth at wide receiver.

Saints' Marquez Callaway: Reconnects with New Orleans
The Saints signed Callaway to a contract Thursday.
The move comes after the Saints waived tight end Tommy Hudson (undisclosed) with an injury designation. Callaway spent the first four years of his career in New Orleans, starting in 2020. His best season came in 2021, when he posted 46 catches for 698 yards and six touchdowns across 17 regular-season games. Callaway signed with the Steelers in January after appearing in just three games in 2023, but he was let go by Pittsburgh on Tuesday. With Equanimeous St. Brown dealing with a hamstring injury, Callaway has the opportunity to earn a spot as a depth wide receiver behind Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and Cedrick Wilson.

Callaway signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers on Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official website reports.
Callaway joined the Saints' practice squad in November and he appeared in three games down the stretch with the team, failing to garner a target over 27 offensive snaps. He'll now look to impress the Steelers this offseason in an attempt to earn an active roster spot in 2024.
