  • Dolphins' Jack Jones: Signs with Miami

Jones signed with the Dolphins on Saturday.

Jones stated 16 of 17 games last season with the Raiders and recorded 69 tackles (52 solo), 16 pass breakups and three interceptions, including a pick-six. He was waived in April but has finally found a new home where he can compete for a starting job immediately. Veteran corner Kader Kohou (leg) is expected to start in the slot, but the boundary cornerback spots are up for grabs among Jones, Storm Duck, Cam Smith and rookie fifth-round pick Jason Marshall.

  • Jack Jones: Let go by Las Vegas

The Raiders are expected to waive Jones, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jones will hit the open market after the Raiders recently made him available for trade, per Rapoport. The 2022 fourth-round pick started his career in New England before being traded to Las Vegas in November 2023, and he appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the first time last year. Jones put up career highs in tackles (69), passes defended (16) and interceptions (three) in 2024. In Jones' absence, Decamerion Richardson and Eric Stokes should be first in line to fill Vegas' starting outside cornerback spots in 2025.

  • Raiders' Jack Jones: Likely to part ways with Vegas

The Raiders are expected to trade or release Jones, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Jones worked as a starter throughout last season, posting career-high marks in tackles (69), pass defenses (16) and interceptions (three). He also recorded his fourth career touchdown on a pick-six in Week 9. However, he also drew some criticism about his perceived effort after missing multiple tackles in a game early in the campaign and has dealt with several off-the-field legal incidents both in college and as a pro. Jones has one year remaining on the four-year contract he signed with the Patriots as a rookie ahead of the 2022 campaign.

  • Raiders' Jack Jones: Career year in 2024

Jones finished the 2024 season with 69 total tackles (52 solo) and 16 passes defensed, including three interceptions, over 17 games.

Jones stepped into a starting role with the Raiders in 2024, securing a career-high 69 takedowns, while his 16 passes defensed and three interceptions marked the highest totals of his three-year NFL career as well. The cornerback was also able to return one of his interceptions for a touchdown in Week 9 versus the Bengals, notching the fourth score of his career. Jones still has one more year on his contract with Las Vegas and will look to take another step up in 2025.

  • Raiders' Jack Jones: Picks off Mayfield in Week 14

Jones tallied three solo tackles and one interception in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Buccaneers.

Jones picked off an errant pass in the end zone from Baker Mayfield, which prevented the Bucs from scoring on their final offensive drive of the first half. Through 13 regular-season games, Jones has logged 54 tackles (45 solo) and 11 pass defenses (including one interception and a pick-six).
