  • Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Ready for Week 6

Wilson (knee) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chargers, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Wilson upgraded to a full practice Friday after beginning the week with consecutive limited sessions, suggesting he's moved past his knee injury in time to face the Chargers on Sunday. The veteran wideout was signed off the Saints' practice squad in late September and has yet to play this season. He'll likely play a reserve role in Miami's wide-receiver corps in Week 6.

  • Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Progressing through knee injury

Wilson (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Wilson was signed off the Saints' practice squad to the Dolphins' active roster Sept. 30, but he was unable to make his debut with his new team against the Panthers in Week 5 due to a knee injury. His ability to practice in at least a limited capacity indicates that he is progressing in his recovery, and his participation over the next two days will indicate his chances of playing against the Chargers on Sunday.

  • Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Not playing vs. Carolina

Wilson (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.

Wilson was held out of practice all week due to a knee injury. The 2018 sixth-rounder was signed off New Orleans' practice squad to Miami's active roster Tuesday, but he'll have to wait until at least Week 6 against the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 12 to make his Dolphins debut. With Tyreek Hill (knee) out for the rest of the season, the Dolphins' wide-receiver corps will be headlined by Jaylen Waddle, Malik Washington and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

  • Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Dealing with injury

Wilson (undisclosed) won't practice this week, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.

Wilson was signed by the Dolphins off the Saints' practice squad Tuesday, but it now appears he's dealing with an undisclosed injury. The Boise State product played in 15 games with the Saints in 2024, catching 20 of 27 targets for 211 yards and one touchdown. If Wilson is sidelined for the Week 5 matchup against the Panthers, Miami may add another wide receiver to its active roster to bolster depth with Tyreek Hill (knee) unavailable.

  • Dolphins' Cedrick Wilson: Heading to Miami

The Dolphins signed Wilson off the Saints' practice squad to the active roster Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The move gives Miami much-needed depth at wide receiver following Tyreek Hill's season-ending knee injury during Monday's win over the Jets. Wilson spent most of September on the Saints' practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster in training camp, but he'll get a new opportunity with the Dolphins in a depth role in the passing game behind Jaylen Waddle, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Malik Washington, Dee Eskridge and tight end Darren Waller. Wilson played in 15 regular-season games for the Saints in 2024 and finished with a 20-211-1 line on 27 targets.

  • Cedrick Wilson: Back with Saints' practice squad

The Saints signed Wilson to the practice squad Monday, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Wilson will return to the Saints' practice squad after initially being cut Thursday. The 2018 sixth-rounder hasn't appeared in a regular-season game this year after appearing in 15 contests for the Saints in 2024, when he posted 20 catches (on 27 targets) for 211 yards and one touchdown. Wilson would be a candidate to be elevated to the active roster if the Saints require depth at wide receiver.

  • Cedrick Wilson: Cut from practice squad

The Saints released Wilson from the practice squad Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

The 29-year-old Wilson was apart of New Orleans' final cuts this summer and signed back with the practice squad ahead of Week 1. He's yet to play in a regular-season game this season.

  • Cedrick Wilson: Lands back with Saints

The Saints released Wilson and then signed him to their practice squad Wednesday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Wilson took a pay cut to remain in New Orleans this offseason, but he still wasn't able to make the initial roster. He'll be a top candidate to be elevated to the active roster if the Saints suffer any injuries at wide receiver.

  • Saints' Cedrick Wilson: Logs two catches Sunday

Wilson caught two of three targets for eight yards during Sunday's 28-19 preseason loss to the Broncos.

Wilson appeared in all three preseason contests for the Saints, totaling six receptions (on eight targets) for 53 yards. The 29-year-old had been competing with Mason Tipton, Kevin Austin and Dante Pettis for a spot as one of the top backup wide receivers behind Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed and Brandin Cooks. But he was pushed even further down the depth chart after New Orleans traded a fourth-round and seventh-round pick to acquire Devaughn Vele from the Broncos on Wednesday. Wilson is entering the final season of a two-year contract with New Orleans, and he agreed to reduce his 2025 base salary from $3.4 million to $1.17 million back in March, which should make it fairly easy for the Saints to move on if they choose to keep Tipton and Austin on the final 53-man roster over Wilson.

  • Saints' Cedrick Wilson: Accepts reduced salary

Wilson agreed Wednesday to rework his contract with the Saints, reducing his 2015 base salary from $3.4 million to $1.17 million, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

The new salary is league minimum for a player with Wilson's service time. The move improves his chances of earning a roster spot, and the contract is still scheduled to void after the 2025 season. The 29-year-old played 15 games for the Saints in 2024, catching 20 of 27 targets for 211 yards and one touchdown while mostly serving as the team's third or fourth wide receiver. Wilson's role in 2025 -- or lack thereof -- will partially depend on the health of Chris Olave (head) and Rashid Shaheed (knee).

  • Saints' Cedrick Wilson: Quiet first season in New Orleans

Wilson appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Saints in 2024, totaling 20 catches (on 27 targets) for 211 yards and one touchdown.

Wilson saw consistent playing time as the third or fourth wideout for the Saints this season. The 29-year-old joined New Orleans on a two-year, $5.2 million contract in March after spending his previous two seasons in Miami. Wilson was expected to provide some veteran depth behind top wideouts Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee), but he never made much of an impact even though the duo missed the final nine and 11 games of the season, respectively. Wilson logged more than three receptions in just one game, and he ultimately finished with less than 25 catches for the third season in a row. He'll likely have to compete for a reserve role once again heading into the 2025 season.

  • Saints' Cedrick Wilson: Makes one catch in Week 14

Wilson took the field for 25 of the Saints' 68 snaps on offense and finished with an 18-yard reception on his lone target in Sunday's 14-11 win over the Giants.

Wilson served as New Orleans' No. 3 wideout in Week 14, narrowly edging out Dante Pettis (21 snaps) in playing time. Though the losses of Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) have opened up more opportunities in the Saints' wideout corps, Wilson hasn't been able to capitalize. Since accruing a season-best 6-57-1 receiving line on seven targets in Week 7 against Denver, Wilson has managed just four catches for 71 yards and no touchdowns on five targets over his subsequent four appearances.

  • Saints' Cedrick Wilson: Back in action Sunday

Wilson (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday against the Browns.

Wilson has missed two of the last three games, first due to a hip injury and then a shoulder issue, but after being listed as limited on all three Week 11 practice reports, he'll be back in action Sunday. The Saints currently have three wide receivers -- Chris Olave (concussion), Rashid Shaheed (knee) and Bub Means (ankle) -- on injured reserve, and Mason Tipton is a healthy scratch, so Wilson will be vying with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and the elevated Kevin Austin and Dante Pettis for snaps. In his last three appearances, Wilson has accrued a 10-119-1 line on 13 targets.
