Lions' Dicaprio Bootle: Placed on IR
The Lions placed Bootle (undisclosed) on the reserve/injured list Thursday.
Per Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com, Bootle suffered an unspecified injury during Wednesday's joint practice with the Dolphins. Bootle will be required to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Detroit. He signed with the Lions in mid-July after playing for the Chargers in 2024, posting three tackles (two solo) across seven regular-season games in a special-teams role.

Chargers' Dicaprio Bootle: Receives promotion
Bootle was signed to the Chargers' 53-man roster from the practice squad Monday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
Bootle was elevated from the practice squad in Week 6 , but he'll now get a potentially more permanent move to the active roster. With Deane Leonard (hamstring) now on IR and both Ja'Sir Taylor (lower leg) and Kristian Fulton (hamstring) questionable for Monday's game against the Cardinals, the Bolts could be in dire need of help in the secondary, which Bootle will help address.

Panthers' Dicaprio Bootle: Taking part in OTAs
Bootle (knee) participated in offseason practice Wednesday, per a video shared by Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site.
Bootle landed on injured reserve with a knee injury last November and didn't return for the remainder of the campaign. He began the year on the Panthers' practice squad but had started two straight games prior to getting hurt. Now that he's back to being healthy, Bootle will compete for a depth role in Carolina's secondary for the coming campaign.

Panthers' Dicaprio Bootle: Lands on IR
Carolina placed Bootle (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Bootle began the season on the Panthers' practice squad but managed to work his way up to a prominent role, starting each of the past two weeks with Jaycee Horn (hamstring) and CJ Henderson (concussion) out of action. However, the 26-year-old hurt his knee this past Sunday in a loss to Dallas and will now be required to sit out at least four games. The impact of Bootle's absence should be softened somewhat with Jeremy Chinn (quadriceps) being designated to return from IR on Wednesday. Horn was also recently designated to return from IR, and Henderson practiced in limited fashion Wednesday, though he's still in the league's concussion protocol.
