49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Misses practice Thursday
Pineiro (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
The kicker was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain after suffering the injury during last Sunday's win over Arizona. The 49ers will likely need to sign another kicker if Pineiro can't go Monday against Carolina. Pineiro will have two more opportunities to practice before the 49ers formulate their final injury report ahead of the contest.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Viewed as week-to-week
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Pineiro (hamstring) is considered week-to-week, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
Pineiro has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain after he was injured in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Cardinals. San Francisco doesn't currently employ another kicker on the active roster or practice squad, so the team will likely need to make a move at the position before next Monday night's game against the Panthers.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Injures right hamstring
Pineiro (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Pineiro appeared to injure his right hamstring while kicking a point-after try in the third quarter of Sunday's game. The 49ers don't have another kicker on the active roster, so Pineiro's absence would cause the 49ers' offense to go for two-point tries on touchdowns for the rest of the contest. He made all three of his field-goal attempts and went 2-for-4 on point-after tries prior to his injury.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Limited workload in loss
Pineiro did not attempt a field goal and went 2-for-3 on extra-point tries in Sunday's 42-26 loss to the Rams.
Pineiro went without a field goal for the second time in three weeks, and he had a PAT blocked in the fourth quarter, representing his first missed extra-point try since Week 2. The kicker is still a perfect 19-for-19 on field-goal attempts, including six makes from 50-plus yards, while converting 16 of 18 PATs over nine games with the 49ers this year.

Pineiro made both of his field-goal attempts and connected on all four of his point-after tries during the 49ers' 34-24 win over the Giants on Sunday.
Pineiro nailed a 54-yard field goal late in the second quarter before converting on a 33-yard try early in the third frame. The 30-year-old kicker has started since Week 2 after the 49ers cut Jake Moody, and Pineiro has made all 19 of his field-goal attempts and all but one of his 15 extra-point tries across seven regular-season games.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Quiet day in Week 8 loss
Pineiro made his lone extra-point try during the 49ers' 26-15 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
Pineiro was idle for most of Sunday's game, with his only kick attempt coming in the second quarter after a 17-yard touchdown pass from Mac Jones to George Kittle. Week 8 marked the first time this season that Pineiro did not attempt a field goal. He is 17-for-17 on field-goal attempts and 10-for-11 on extra-point tries through seven regular-season games.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Connects on all four field goals
Pineiro made all four of his field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point try during the 49ers' 30-19 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Three of Pineiro's four field goals came in the first half -- two of which were from 50-plus yards -- which helped keep the 49ers in striking distance heading into halftime. He connected on a 29-yard chip shot midway through the third quarter to cut the deficit to one point, but he wasn't brought out to kick after that, as the 49ers offense sputtered down the stretch. Pineiro has connected on four field goals in back-to-back games and is a perfect 15-for-15 across five regular-season contests. Pineiro and the 49ers will head back to San Francisco to host the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 19.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Makes two short field goals
Pineiro connected on both field-goal attempts and his only extra-point try in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Jaguars.

Pineiro hit all three field-goal tries, including a 35-yarder as time expired, and his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's 16-15 win over the Cardinals.
The kicker also made 38- and 51-yard field goals in the first half. Pineiro has now made his last eight kicks since missing his first attempt, an extra point, with the 49ers last week. The former Panther signed with the team after the Niners cut the struggling Jake Moody.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Misses PAT in Niners debut
Pineiro went 2-for-3 on extra-point attempts and made both of his field-goal tries during the 49ers' 26-21 win over the Saints on Sunday.
Pineiro made his 49ers' debut Sunday after the team cut Jake Moody this past Tuesday. Things didn't start well for Pineiro after he missed his first extra-point attempt late in the first quarter, but he settled in to make his two following PATs while connecting on field goals from 44 and 46 yards in the second and third quarters, respectively. A reliable boot will give head coach Kyle Shanahan more confidence to turn to Pineiro to get three points rather than being forced to keep the offense on the field for fourth downs in opposing territory.

49ers' Eddy Pineiro: Replacing Moody in San Francisco
Pineiro agreed to a one-year contract with the 49ers on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
With the 49ers cutting Jake Moody on Tuesday after he missed two field goals in the season-opening 17-13 win over the Seahawks, Pineiro will step in as the team's new kicker beginning with Sunday's game at New Orleans. The third-most accurate kicker in NFL history with an 88.1 percent success rate on field-goal attempts over parts of five NFL seasons, Pineiro should bring some much-needed stability to the San Francisco kicking game. Since he'll be attached to what looks to be a solid albeit banged-up 49ers offense, Pineiro could profile as an above-average fantasy kicker right off the bat.

Panthers' Eddy Pineiro: Perfect in regular-season finale
Pineiro made his lone field-goal attempt while converting on all five of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 44-38 overtime win over the Falcons.
The 29-year-old kicker from Florida ended his 2024 campaign on a positive note Sunday, drilling all six of his kicks. Pineiro didn't miss a game for the Panthers this season, converting 22 of his 26 field-goal tries (including seven of 10 from 40-plus yards) and 33 of his 35 extra-point attempts. He's set to hit free agency after this year, however, Pineiro likely won't have trouble finding work, whether in Carolina or elsewhere, as he currently ranks as the third-most accurate kicker in NFL history.

Panthers' Eddy Pineiro: Misses again in Week 17
Pineiro missed his lone field-goal attempt while converting both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 48-14 loss to the Buccaneers.
Pineiro missed a kick for the second consecutive week in Sunday's blowout loss, pulling a 53-yard attempt wide left right before halftime. The 29-year-old has been fairly accurate this season but has struggled from distance, having now converted on just six of nine kicks from beyond 40 yards. Pineiro's final opportunity to score in the Panthers' 2024 campaign will come in the Week 18 matchup in Atlanta.
