Commanders' Will Harris: Won't be activated for Week 11
Harris (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
Harris had his 21-day window to return to practice opened Wednesday and was subsequently a limited participant in all three of Washington's practices, but he won't be activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game. He will have additional time to recover during Washington's Week 12 bye.

Commanders' Will Harris: Returning to practice
Washington designated Harris (ankle) for return to practice from its injured reserve list Wednesday.
Harris has spent the last seven weeks on the Commanders' injured reserve list with a fractured fibula he suffered in Week 3 versus the Raiders, but it now appears he could be on track to returning to game action soon. His availability at practice during the week will be worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's game at Miami, and he began the week with a limited practice Wednesday.

Commanders' Will Harris: Placed on injured reserve
The Commanders placed Harris (leg) on injured reserve Monday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
A stint on injured reserve requires a player to miss at least the next four games. However, Harris fractured his fibula during the Commanders' 41-24 win over the Raiders on Sunday, and that injury is significant enough for him that he may not return until late in the regular season, if at all. Following injuries to Harris and Percy Butler (hip), the Commanders fortified their depth at safety by signing 2019 first-rounder Darnell Savage to a one-year contract Monday.

Commanders' Will Harris: Dealing with significant injury
Harris suffered a fractured fibula in Sunday's 41-24 win over the Raiders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Harris exited the contest in the second quarter with what was originally described as an ankle issue. The injury is now understood to be something rather significant, and the safety is expected to be sidelined for the foreseeable future. In his absence, Percy Butler and Jeremy Reaves likely will be relied on at strong safety for Washington.

Commanders' Will Harris: Won't return against Las Vegas
Harris (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Raiders, Tashan Reed of The Washington Post reports.
Harris suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game. He went to the locker room to have the injury evaluated, and it is severe enough that he won't return. Percy Butler and Jeremy Reaves are the top options to see more work in the secondary alongside Quan Martin at safety in Harris' absence.

Commanders' Will Harris: Signs with Washington
Harris agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal with the Commanders on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Harris recorded 74 total tackles and one interception this past season with the Saints. Entering his seventh year in the league, the veteran will join one of the league's youngest secondary units while presumably replacing Jeremy Chinn, who's set to sign with the Raiders.
